KSKQ was a Los Angeles radio station that broadcasts at 1540 AM. The station was owned by Spanish Broadcasting System and was known as "Super KQ."
Super KQ played various Spanish-language musical forms at part of its format, including salsa and tropical music similar to its sister station in New York City, WSKQ (now WSNR).
Super KQ's format moved to 97.9 FM (now KLAX-FM) in 1993. 1540 AM became Mexican regional KXMG, "Mega 1540." Later, this frequency became KMPC, as it is today, and broadcast sports programming as "1540, The Ticket".
