MobiDev was founded in 2009[2][3] in Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2011, the company opened its first office in the United States, which was located in Atlanta, GA. By 2015, the company opened another international office in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

From the very beginning, the company focused on mobile app development. MobiDev launched RAD.js[4][5][6] in 2013. This software framework offered cross-platform mobile application development that improved capabilities and the performance of the development process.

After several years of growth and expansion, the company was awarded Upwork's Best Agency in 2016, 2017, and 2018 in Ukraine for its expertise in web, mobile, software development.[7][8]

Since 2014, the company has been a permanent fixture at the CeBIT[9], Cloud Expo New York[10], IoT TECHEXPO[11], DigiMarcon[12] and MobileTech Conference & Summit[13]. The exposure offered by these events led to significant business development and the establishment of new partnerships.
