: I was about to answer this question before you asked it. When you edit the page, one of the options is to select all or part of text of the page and hit <delete> key on your keyboard. Not quite so easy in the visual editor, but the general principle applies. You are allowed to blank things on your user talk page with a very few exceptions (declined block requests are not allowed to be deleted while you are still blocked -- but that exception does not appy in this case). So blank as much as you want. The content will still be accessible in the page history, if someone wants to dig, though. Why didn't show when I edit some articles?
WeTalkWiki 08:55, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- I assume you are referring to your edits to Wordpress, Snapchat and so on, where you added the parameter
current_status = active
. However,current_status
is not a valid parameter in the Infobox software template, so it will not be displayed. Yunshui 雲水 11:09, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
WeTalkWiki 13:55, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- Again, that's not a valid parameter. A list of the parameters that can be used in the template is available at Template:Infobox_software, linked above. Yunshui 雲水 14:07, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- Oh wait, it is. Hang on... Yunshui 雲水 14:10, 11 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hm. Quite bemused by that. It's definitely acting as though
alexa
is an invalid parameter, but I can't see why. I'd suggest raising this on Template_talk:Infobox_software as an issue. Yunshui 雲水 14:17, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Ok. Thank you. I'll report that issue on talk page. Have a nice day!

Possibly inappropriate username
Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "WeTalkWiki", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because "we" is not a good idea in any of its four meanings. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.
- collective "we': implies multiple users
- imperial "we": implies an official position of head of state or church
- editorial "we": implies higher than ordinary standing as a Wikipedia editor
- authorial "we": implies standing or ownership of a article as a author
-Arch dude (talk) 19:20, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
One of adminstrators (sysop) told me username is ok. What is your user roll here to answer that question? Sorry for asking that question.
WeTalkWiki 06:45, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- I'm just another editor. An admin has no more or less "authority" to decide if a user name is acceptable than does any other editor. An admin does have the tools to block you if a consensus among editors concludes that your user name is inappropriate and you fail to change it. It does not appear that a consensus has been reached, so we will go to Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names to see what other editors think. If most people are OK with your user name, then no hard feelings and welcome to Wikipedia. -Arch dude (talk) 07:13, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
Ok. Keep going. And also mention nosism on yor comments. I'm watching it.
WeTalkWiki 07:24, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
And show them also I requested this first other than you do.
WeTalkWiki 07:27, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- Feel free to add nosism, or anything else, to the discussion. I do not intend to do more than raise the issue as I stated in the discussion, as I want others to make their decisions without bias. You, however, are expected to make your points there. I wish you well either way. -Arch dude (talk) 07:34, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
Hello, WeTalkWiki. Concerns have been raised that your username may be incompatible with policy. You can contribute to the discussion about it at the page for requests for comment on usernames. Alternatively, if you agree that your username may be problematic and are willing to change it, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name. Simply request a new name at Wikipedia:Changing username following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. Arch dude (talk) 07:34, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
Personal attacks
I strongly recommend you read and understand our Wikipedia:No personal attacks policy. As that policy says, comment on content, not the contributor. Referring to someone as having "some mental issues", as you did here is entirely inappropriate and unacceptable behavior here. Please do not repeat this sort of behavior. If you need help with this or anything else, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 18:45, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- I've closed that discussion as consensus is pretty clear after a day to allow your username, but I would just like to re-emphasize what Hammersoft has said above and others mentioned in the discussion, that sort of remark has absolutely no place on Wikipedia and continuing to speak about others in such a manner can and will get you blocked. Beeblebrox (talk) 00:55, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Sorry for that.
I used that word because I feel, that topic mainly based on insulting for editor not for user name issue. Read again carefully, what editor was saying there. And this may be kind of revenge. Wikipedia is Encyclopedia not a revenge place. If that editor really concern about user name policy, there are many user names from "we". I didn't see, editor pulled topic regarding those users. If you told me to stop talking like these situation, that won't be happened(think if it's happend to you). AGAIN, WIKIPEDIA IS A ENCYCLOPEDIA(If I'm not mistaken, I'm new to here), NOT A REVENGE PLACE. Thank you!Hammersoft
WeTalkWiki 03:14, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- You may also want to review the policy on assuming good faith since, if I understand what you're saying, you've decided to assign malicious motivations to the user who initiated the discussion without any evidence to back up your assertion. They were incorrect, your username is clearly not a policy violation, but there's no reason to go assigning sinister motives when simply being mistaken is a sufficient explanation. Beeblebrox (talk) 08:32, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- With respect, it doesn't matter if the person was insulting you or not. Even if a person casts the most hideous aspersions upon you, the Wikipedia:No personal attacks policy still stands. I've had some people utter some incredibly insulting things toward me here. Yet, it never gave me an excuse to insult them in return. The reality is that someone who delights in insulting people is really only reflecting on themselves. It's not necessary to insult them back; they've already insulted themselves by descending to such tactics. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:49, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Gotcha. Nice to meet you on Wkipedia! Hammersoft. If I got a problem here, hope to talk you again. Have a nice day! Hammersoft

How to delete this talk page?
WeTalkWiki 17:21, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Talk pages generally cannot be deleted. Praxidicae (talk) 17:31, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
Then how to blank?
WeTalkWiki 17:40, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
