Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Norfolk Island Airport/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The first runway designation here doesn't make any sense. The directions of the opposite ends of the runway should add up to 36 (because therea re 360 degrees in a full circle). The designation 04/22 is wrong. Somebody should call the airport and check what is correct. The correct designation should either be 04/32 or 14/22. If you are from the area please check and correct this article.
Although no one paid attention to this comment, I should note for future reference that it is incorrect. The two directions should NOT add up to 36. They are supposed to be at opposite ends from each other - at 180 degrees from each other - and therefore, the second one should be equal to the first one plus 18. Hence, there are runways designated 18/36, 10/28, 01/19, and yes, 04/22. - Jorgath (talk) 06:40, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
