== Posting articles directly in case of a COI ==

Hi, posting new articles even in case of a COI directly to the mainspace is clearly allowed by Wikipedia guidelines. Publishing it through AfC is advised, but it is not a mandatory rule. I have followed all the other guidelines and there should not be any problems in publishing it directly. Semi-protected edit request on 25 December 2019

Brother this is regarding my edit requests on the page about Ayisha (R.A) (found by the name of "Aisha" on wikipedia). I saw your response, I agree that wikipedia endorses the notion of not being censored. And people may find offense to some of its content. But I would like to refer to the fifth pillar of wikipedia; that there are no "fixed rules", so if someone wants to make wikipedia relevant and enjoyable, he or she can go against the rules that may stop them. I'm not saying against the fixed policy or U.S laws, but against the rules regarding the type of content to be displayed or the "guidelines". Hence, please remove all the images on that page. Religiously and by the laws and regulations of muslim countries, images and paintings portraying any religious figure falls under "blasphemy" not "freedom of expression" and the argument that it is a form of expression is deemed "irrelevant". I hope my arguments will be enough for you and that you will oblige to my requests. Thanking you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Darkus shadow (talkcontribs) 09:50, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The matter of including or excluding images on the pages of Muhammed and Ayisha has been discussed in great lengths before, see Talk:Muhammad/FAQ. The consensus was that Wikipedia wouldn't exclude the images. – Thjarkur (talk) 15:00, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

We just did it again!

I edit-conflicted with you at that priest's article - my changes were pretty similar to yours, improving the translation and cutting away most of the puffery. I agree with your concerns about notability, but I'll leave it for someone else to determine that I think - it's much better after your redraft. Hehe. I could really do with a "Someone else has this document open" feature... – Thjarkur (talk) 17:49, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I reopened the edit request again. 2600:1000:B06E:68C6:A980:CB5D:919C:654D (talk) 19:09, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! for your work! I think this could be a WP:Did You Know and go on the main page with a bit more work. But it has to happen in the next five days. Would you help if you can? A TV show needs a plot section, a production section, and a reception section. I can do the plot and reception parts. But I can't find anything about how it was made for a production section. Just a few sentences would be enough. Thanks again! Peregrine Fisher (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a little bit. Not sure if any of this would make an interesting hook but you have more experience in that. – Thjarkur (talk) 19:41, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'll tell you what happens. Peregrine Fisher (talk) 03:26, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Did you know nominations/Home for Christmas (TV series). Template_talk:Did_you_know#Home_for_Christmas_(TV_series). It sounds like they may want a sentence from a reliable source. I left in "Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates" for where it goes. If you don't want to, don't worry about it. I can change it to an English source. Your sources were the most interesting, so I put them in for now. Mistaken user, re edit of 'Loren Gray'.

Hi. You messaged me to enquire about an edit I made to the page 'Loren Gray'. I have never attempted to contribute to Wikipedia and no one else uses this computer (I believe). The only reason I'm writing is to ask if this indicates that someone has access to my IP address/account, or is it just a thing that happens now and then. (mistaken IP address.)? Regards. M. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.129.84.109 (talk) 22:45, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not to worry, as you can see the message I sent was in March, it was directed to the person that made an edits from this IP address back then. Computers share IP addresses (sometimes the entire household or entire school), and mobile internet service providers will have a shared pool of IP addresses that change every time you connect. You can stop getting these unintended messages by creating a Wikipedia account. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:56, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ezhava

Hi noted your recent edits to Ezhava.

Please remove those information box also. No other caste page contains this format.

Also category obc is defaming the community.

It's a soft vandalism KZbot (talk) 00:34, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the addition of the infobox can be counted as vandalism, but the information there could do with some sources. But these boxes are very common, take as a random example Gurjar. – Thjarkur (talk) 00:47, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Just logging back in and see the article citation on the St Thorlak page. Thank you! 2604:6000:1013:8318:C825:6CEE:A8EC:4A2 (talk) 01:05, 5 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

STOP SCREWING WITH MY PAGES!!!!

Seriously dude, this is REALLY annoying! Stop deleting the infoboxes from the pages for the individual Tenderloins; it's really obnoxious and is outright unproductive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lilydog945 (talkcontribs) 22:01, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that birthdays need to be well sourced. The infoboxes with the unsourced information removed didn't contain anything except the line "comedian". Also please stop using IMDB and blogs as sources. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:18, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again Thjarkur

At the moment I'm stuck on adding images, but if other people can do it...

Really appreciated Maryanne Cunningham (talk) 22:38, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you switch to the Visual Editor (by clicking the pencil in the upper right corner if you're in wikitext mode), you should see a button that says Insert > Images and mediaThjarkur (talk) 23:16, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Autobiography

Hi there. This is user Stongay :) Thank you for your comments. I have been Wiki user on and off. And very successful researcher at the same time. As you may see, I have made tremendous contributions in the field and won some of the most prestigious awards. I hope this will clarify. It just happens that I am wiki user and a solid professor. It wasnt meant for self promotion. Kind regards! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stongay (talkcontribs) 03:19, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We do in any case strongly advise against writing an autobiography here. People are usually incapable of writing neutrally about things they are too close to, and your article was promotional even if unintentionally and still needs some editing by an uninvolved editor. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:06, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
