Under torture by Inquisitors, women accused of being witches described demons' sexual organs and their semen. Demon penises were described variously as flaccid, as always erect, as cold, as fiery, as being double, with one member "fore" and the other "aft," as being forked, as being shaped like a "trident," and of being of such materials as "horn, . . . iron," and "scales," and as being capable, following penetration of the witch's vagina or anus, of rotating or throbbing. Some of the accused claimed the devil's organ was long and thick and "most beautifully proportioned," or as small as a "finger." Demon penises were also said to be always erect, but they lacked testicles and scrota. Those who were of the belief that demons could produce their own seed were split in their opinion as to whether the sperm contained in demon semen was fertile.
