The sixth season of NCIS: New Orleans an American police procedural drama television series, premiered on CBS on September 24, 2019. The season is produced by CBS Television Studios, with Christopher Silber and Jan Nash as showrunner and executive producer.

Production

Development

NCIS: New Orleans was renewed for a sixth season on April 22, 2019.[13]

Casting

Lucas Black left the series during the sixth season.[14][15] NCIS: New Orleans showrunner Christopher Silber said "We are sad to see him go, but happy he will have more time to spend with his family."[14][15] Black last appeared in the sixth episode "Matthew 5:9".[14][15]

On February 5, 2020, TVLine revealed that Charles Michael Davis would join the main cast as Quentin Carter, a new agent who would fill in Lasalle's spot on the team starting with the twelfth episode.
