Love Is Blind is an [[List of original programs distributed by Netflix#Reality and competition shows|]] dating reality television series, produced by Kinetic Content[1] which premiered on Netflix on February 13, 2020 as part of a three-week event.[2] The series has been compared to Married at First Sight, which was also produced by Kinetic Content,[1] and The Bachelor.[3]
Format
The series follows a dozen men and women who will eventually find love; however, throughout the process, they will never see their partners. For ten days in a speed dating format, the men and women will each enter different "pods" where they can talk to someone of the opposite sex. After the ten days, the men are able to propose to the women they want to get married to. After the proposal, they will reveal themselves to their partner, where they will see each other for the first time. Then they will move to the real world, where they will move in together and meet their partner's family. If their relationship survives in the real world, then they will get married.

Filming
Filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia from September 2018 to November. All filming was completed in thirty-eight days. The first ten days in the pods were shot at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayetteville.[6] Then, after the newly engaged couples left the pods, filming took place at the Grand Veras Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico when all the couples went on a retreat. The relationships that made it through the retreat in Mexico move in together in an apartment complex.[7]
