Shimsk (Template:Lang-ru) is an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Shimsky District of Novgorod Oblast, Russia, located on a highway connecting Velikiy Novgorod and Pskov, 48 km south-west of Velikiy Novgorod. Another road connects the settlement to Staraya Russa. Shimsk lies on Shelon River, approximately 10 km upstream the point where it drains into the Lake Ilmen.
