When carefree Nyles (Andy Samberg) and reluctant maid of honor Sarah (Cristin Milioti) have a chance encounter at a Palm Springs wedding, things get complicated the next morning when they find themselves unable to escape the venue, themselves, or each other.[1]

Cast

Production

The project was initially announced in November 2018 after it secured a tax credit to film in California, namely the Palm Springs area. Andy Samberg was revealed as starring in the film.[2] In March 2019, Cristin Milioti and J. K. Simmons joined the cast.[3] Camila Mendes was added in April.[4]

Filming began in April 2019.[5]

Release

It had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2020.[6] Shortly after, Neon and Hulu acquired distribution rights to the film.[7] The purchase of this film by Neon and Hulu broke the previous record for highest sale of a film from Sundance by $0.69.[8]
