Parimatch is an international sports betting company with headquarters in Limassol, Cyprus, founded in 1994. [2]
History
Parimatch was established in 1994 in Kyiv, Ukraine.[3]The company entered the Russian market in 1998. Online betting website was launched in 2000 and was one the first among bookmakers in the CIS region. [4] In 2004 Parimatch expanded to the Belarusian market. [5]In 2005 Parimatch began operations in Moldova and Georgia. [6] In 2015 Parimatch entered the Kazakhstan market and began cooperation with Federbet to prevent match fixing.[7]In 2017 the company began operations in Tanzania and Cyprus. [8]In December 2018 Parimatch’s CEO, Sergey Portnov won Leader of the year award at the SBC Awards held in London. [9]
In February 2019 Parimatch signed Conor McGregor as its brand ambassador. [10] [11] [12]In July 2019 Mike Tyson became brand ambassador of Parimatch. [13]In February 2020 the company joined the Esports Integrity Commission to assist with battling cheating and fraud in esports. [14]
License
Parimatch operates under local licenses issued by the regulatory authorities of each country in Cyprus, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Parimatch brand is represented as a franchise with local licenses in Russia,[15]Tanzania,[16] The company also carries out its activity under the international license of Curacao (eGaming) [17]
