Radnor is an affluent community located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, approximately 13 miles west of Philadelphia. It lies between the communities of Wayne and Bryn Mawr on the Philadelphia Main Line. The community was named after Radnor, in Wales.

Radnor is the first community outbound in the "Outer Main Line" as it sits immediately west of the Blue Route. Radnor and points west are characterized by larger lot sizes and open fields, as opposed to Bryn Mawr and other Inner Main Line communities which are overall more dense. The community does not have a downtown; it instead houses one of Southeastern Pennsylvania's largest office parks by the train station. Several financial companies have headquarters or significant presences here. The community is also home to Cabrini University.

Radnor does not have a unique zip code; instead, the northern and western portions use 19087 of Wayne, and the southern portions use 19085 of Villanova. Within Radnor, postal addresses are often listed as "Radnor, PA" though addressing via Wayne or Villanova is also acceptable.

Economy

Radnor contains the largest commercial business district on the Main Line. Located immediately around the town's train station lie several suburban office complexes. Among the companies based in Radnor are real estate company Brandywine Realty Trust, energy company Penn Virginia, insurer Lincoln National, wholesaler VWR and technology company Qlik.

Radnor does not have a defined town center, but the nearby communities of Wayne and Bryn Mawr offer several shops and restaurants. Radnor is also easily accessible to King of Prussia.

Education

Public education in Radnor is administered by Radnor Township School District. The district operates Radnor Elementary School, Wayne Elementary School, Ithan Elementary School, Radnor Middle School, and Radnor High School. A significant number of students also attend nearby private schools.

Closest universities include Cabrini University, Eastern University, and Villanova University.

Radnor is identified in the script as the setting for Philip Barry's play The Philadelphia Story.

It is also the setting of Judy Blume's young adult novel, Blubber.

Radnor High School is the model for "Grease", the Director of which, Randal Kleiser, was a member of the Class of 1964, and "Taps" was filmed at Valley Forge Military Academy and College, which is also in Radnor Township.
