Bahni Turpin is an American stage and screen actor known for her roles in Malcolm X and Cold Case Files and an award-winning audiobook narrator.[1] Her audiobooks appear regularly on Amazon’s monthly top ten list. Her audiobook career includes some of the most popular and critically acclaimed books[2] in recent years including The Help and The Hate U Give.[3] In 2020, Elle magazine chose two of Turpin's narrated books (Children of Blood and Bone and The Hate U Give) for their list of "The 20 Best Audiobooks To Listen To In Quarantine."[4] And Turpin has four works on Book Riot's list of "20 Must-Read Audiobooks Narrated by Black Women"[5] in 2020.
