:However, what does mean ''believed to be humane, beautiful and feminine.''. If it means that people believe Pincoya is human, beautiful and feminine, there is an misunderstanding. Pincoya is beautiful (Quintana & Vilches); feminine, hummmm, she is like a woman in shape (Quintana, Vilches and all the histories), but she isn't feminine in rest of meanings of this word; Pincoya is not human in ''race'', she can be human for her mercy (or angry). I find Chilote mythology fascinating, and have no reason to disbelieve any of the stories written in this article. However I have asked for citations (in two places) for any published works that support the details written here. Resources will only strengthen this article. I don't understand "Chiloean mythology is appreciative of the Pincoya, believed to be humane, beautiful and feminine." :(. The first part is easily findable (?) in
  • Martinez Vilches, Oscar, Chiloe Misterioso. Pub. Ediciones de la Voz de Chiloe (circa 1998)
  • Quintana, Bernardo (1987), Chiloé Mitológico, Temuco: Telstar Impresores
However, what does mean believed to be humane, beautiful and feminine.. If it means that people believe Pincoya is human, beautiful and feminine, there is an misunderstanding. Pincoya is beautiful (Quintana & Vilches); feminine, hummmm, she is like a woman in shape (Quintana, Vilches and all the histories), but she isn't feminine in rest of meanings of this word; Pincoya is not human in race, she can be human for her mercy (or angry).
