• Not exactly the same topic, but similar. Out of curiosity, how did you come to review Vancouver, Washington? It's been in the encyclopedia for well over a decade. The purpose of NPP is to screen new articles. What reviewing does physically is remove the "noindex" markup so Google will list the article. We didn't add that markup to articles in the "oughts". That started around 2015 or so. And unreviewed articles are indexed anyway once they reach 90 days old. How did you even do it? I can't imagine that article appearing on the new article lists. @John from Idegon: Sometimes long-existing articles that were redirected (either by vandals or well-meaning but mistaken editors) end up back in the queue when the edit is reverted by someone without autopatrol. From the page's history, it looks like that's what happened in this case about an hour ago, which is why it was back in the queue. At least they're easy to patrol if you're patrolling from the bottom of the queue... I actually had a moment of shock when I saw it in the queue because I knew there was no way it could be a new page! :) But anyways, that's why decades-old pages sometimes get "re-reviewed". There's a shitton of "Homer" edits in that pages history (removing that it's a Portland suburb, acting as if Vancouver, BC doesn't exist etc). Again thanks. Vexations, I think that we should create an article on her if she's notable. But now that I've looked for sources on both Eleanor Harrises, I haven't found anything anything about the 1901-1942 Harris. I think it might make the most sense for now to remove the sentence about the Smithsonian since it's about the 1901-1942 Harris, and create an article about her once we can find more sources. What do you think?

Can you hear me groaning? I can't believe I did that. I obviously saw the sources for the other Eleanor when I wrote the article but I thought I was careful to keep the two separate. I'm not sure the Eleanor I wrote about is Wiki worthy at this time - I was frustrated by the lack of sources for her since her story is quite interesting (with the sister and mother who are also artists). Perhaps the article I wrote just isn't ready for wiki inclusion? Should we put it in draft and hope someone finds more materials? I can try to work on it more, but I don't know that there is much out there. Perhaps, as Vexations said we should create an article for the other Eleanor. WalkingInHisShoes, I'm glad you brought up that she might not be notable yet, because I had the same thought... unfortunately. Let's draftify it for now, and as long as you make even a small edit to it once every 6 months or so, it won't get deleted. Do you have access to any of the databases on the Wikipedia Library? You may find more sources there than on the general internet. I tried looking on Project Muse and struck out, but you might be able to find something on one of the art-specific databases, and it could be helpful for any other art articles you create later.

curation of list

You added a notice regarding lack of source to the page List of plants known as myrtle.

I removed it and added a footnote pointing to the linked articles for additional common names.

As per WP:LISTVERIFY, I think inclusion in this list qualify as "obviously appropriate material". The common name is verifiable in the linked article, and the fact of the common name itself justifies inclusion in the list.

Please also note the category Set indices on plant common names includes many similar list articles, and they generally are unsourced except for the fact that inclusion in the list is fairly obvious. For example, List of plants known as nettle is similarly unsourced.

Hi Arnkellow! It just means that your article has been approved to be indexed in search engines like google. You don't need to do anything with that notification, and if you'd like your article to be automatically indexed you can apply for autopatrol once you've created more than 25 articles. Hi KochiCIR! I'm glad to hear you're improving that area! I think one of the best ways you can help now is by adding a little more detail to your articles. A one-sentence stub and a single reference is fine to start, but it'll be a long time until someone else comes around and gives each temple's article the level of attention they deserve. We especially don't want someone to nominate them for deletion because they don't appear notable enough. There's no rush to pump them all out quickly, so why not take your time and add more reliable, well-sourced information to each one?

Oh, and you might want to join Wikiproject Japan! There's a group of us who all work on Japan-related articles, and we can always use help. :) Mcampany (talk) 06:50, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi Mcampany, thanks for the feedback. I've translated info from the Japanese Shōryū-ji article, and added it to the English side. I'd like to do that for all of the Kochi temples first, then possibly all of the temples for the henro pilgrimage. I will continuously try to improve and flesh out my articles as I get the hang of this!

KochiCIR It looks great! When you translate from Japanese wikipedia you should mention that in the edit summary. I'm also really glad you added the citation from the Japanese wikipedia article. They don't always have inline citations, so you should always add more if there aren't any. English wikipedia is way more picky than Japanese wikipedia about inline citations and references, and I've noticed that a lot of users who come from Japanese wikipedia to English and users who are new and translating from Japanese wikipedia really struggle with it. Oof. Good question. I've never really figured it out myself, that's why I usually tag articles without categories so other people can fix them. There's instructions in the page you linked, but if you're having a hard time it would be better to ask at the teahouse.
