Kōichi Yamadera

I reverted an an edit you made to the Kōichi Yamadera page. I had already moved certain entries to "Dubbing Roles" since that's where those entries apply, plus the entries themselves were redundant as they were already on the page. Next time, I would suggest looking over a page before adding more info as it might alrerady be on there. For what it's worth though, I did retain the more recent additions you made to the page. In any case, remember to "look before you leap" as they say. Brittany Ka (talk) 23:35, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Accessdate parameter

I saw in this diff that you added an "accessmonthday" and/or "accessdaymonth" parameter. Please be informed that these are deprecated. The preferred way is to put day, month, and year together in the "accessdate" parameter. Thank you, Debresser (talk) 02:43, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crash Bandicoot GAN

FYI- I've placed Crash Bandicoot (character)'s GAN on hold for now. I've left comments at Talk:Crash Bandicoot (character)/GA1‎. If you have any questions, please post them there. (Guyinblack25 talk 21:46, 15 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Just checking in about the GAN. The changes you've made are a step in the right direction and have addressed some of issues. Today is the last day to make changes. If you have any questions, please let me know. (Guyinblack25 talk 17:29, 22 June 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Evangelion and names

Back in 2008 I saw "21:25, 4 February 2008 Cat's Tuxedo (talk | contribs | block) moved Ryoji Kaji to Ryōji Kaji ‎ (per the Manual of Style (Japan-related articles)) (revert) "

The Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles) states that would be the case ONLY if the following are not available: "Use the official trade name if available in English/Latin alphabet; Use the form found in a dictionary entry from a generally accepted English dictionary; Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in the English-speaking world; Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in any other popular Latin-alphabet-using language (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, and Dutch, or variations);"

If none of the following exist, then use macron names. The Neon Genesis Evangelion series uses non-macron names in official website materials, translated materials, etc. WhisperToMe (talk) 21:13, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your sig

FYI- I think there's a glitch in the wiki markup for your signature: Your user page is not properly linked. Just thought you'd want to know if you weren't already aware of it. (Guyinblack25 talk 03:28, 19 September 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Yeah, I've noticed that. I really wish something could be done about that. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 05:01, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please

Hi,

Can you please create seiyu articles with references because unless someone sources them they are going to get deleted and others editors will eventually get feed up to source those articles at your place. Be responsible please.

Cordially. --KrebMarkt 18:49, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the inconvenience I'm apparently causing. It's just that the Japanese articles that I translate usually don't feature references either, so there's really not much I can do about it. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 19:19, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There is no hurry to have more article created so take your time by creating them as Sub pages first in your user space. Move them only when you feel them ready to mainspace and not before. Drastic change toward unsourced BLP articles will be enacted and it will be harsh.
Japanese sources are Ok as long they are reliable that usually anime official website, TV network anime dedicated webpage/website or Anime studio websites. That would do for most anime roles with the reserve that older is the show and harder it's to find a source --KrebMarkt 20:59, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

what's wrong with "you"?

i was using the general term you 168.99.144.58 (talk) 20:22, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Second-person language (such as "you") is inappropriate on Wikipedia because it addresses the reader directly, which encyclopedias don't and shouldn't do. Only third-person language (such as "the player") is allowed. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 23:03, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
well yeah but why's it inappropriate? there's nothing bad in it 168.99.144.58 (talk) 19:57, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Use of the term "you" on Wikipedia results in ambiguity and is contrary to the tone of encyclopedias. As such, it is discouraged to use the word "you" in the article unless it is part of a quote. It is preferable to refer to the subject of the sentence or use the English passive voice when editing articles. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 23:15, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crash bandicoot sales

According to the VGChartz website all the first 5 orignal crash bandicoot games have sold well over what has been stated on the crash series wiki for example, it states crash warped has sold 3.87 million units however it has sold well over 7.2 million units worldwide can someone update them please, the psn sales have also sold approximetly 1.2 million. if any clarification is needed go on to the VGChartz website and in the info box type in the crash bandicoot games and will give you the correct sales amount —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.240.198 (talk) 14:12, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

VGChartz isn't considered a reliable source for Wikipedia because its information is unfounded and thus invalid. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:27, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The source that is used currently for the crash bandicoot sales is the magic box, how do you know that is a valid source? that also may be unreliable, that sourced is dated in 2003 the sales have increased vastly since then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.240.197 (talk) 15:45, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unless a more recent source that's actually reliable comes up, we will continue to use those figures. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:25, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crash Bandicoot: the Wrath of Cortex

Hello On crash bandicoot: wrath of cortex’s, wiki page there is no section on `Development` of the game. There is some very interesting articles stating that Mark Cerny was going to design this game as he had designed all the original games and Sony was going to publish it, but Universal Interactive fell out with them both and travellers tales (the development team) had to go from a free roaming game to a standard Crash game with a reduced time-line - 12 months - and having to design the game themselves from scratch.

It would be very, very helpful if this could be stated on the wiki page with a `Development` section as all the other crash games have this section but this does not, and not many people know this. If any evidence is required go on to Crash Mania on the games section and click on wrath of cortex mysteries as well as "Gamasutra interview with Jon Burton (the head of travellers tales)" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.240.208 (talk) 16:50, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crash Mania can't be proven as a reliable source, but I think Gamasutra is okay, so I'll look into that. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 21:42, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crash Bash

Hello First I’d like to thank you for what you added to the wrath of cortex it all makes much more sense now.

On the Crash Bash video game wiki page there is not enough information on the successful sales it had achieved. All the other original PS1 Crash games had all the information about the sales. I.e. crash bash sold very well as it achieved 1.6 million in sales. And as a whole the crash bash wiki page looks weak and needs more information, especially the introduction.

It would be very helpful if you could do this

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.221.106.160 (talk) 13:18, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crash bandicoot music section

On the Crash bandicoot series wiki there is no section with music from the series, it would be very useful to have this included as the crash bandicoot videogame music was very popular.

Can you do this please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.220.101.249 (talk) 15:20, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ken Shiroyama has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unable to find reliable, secondary sources which provide in-depth coverage of this voice actor, encyclopedia entries list credits at ANN but not a single mention in a news article there.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. joe deckertalk to me 14:49, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Crash bandicoot series

Hello

I have started a music section article on the crash bandicoot series wiki page as there wasn't one. The Crash bandicoot video game music was extremely popular and still is, I as well as others were very suprised to find out that this section hadn't been done, anyway i have started it and it would be very helpful if you could help finish it as it is vital to have this included and also you are very good at doing wiki pages as you are a member.

Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.221.106.163 (talk) 17:36, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Lion King 1½, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Sanders (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:RyuJose.PNG)

Thanks for uploading File:RyuJose.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:03, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:PaprikaBookCover.PNG

Thank you for uploading File:PaprikaBookCover.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Ryulong (琉竜) 19:37, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bernard Tiphaine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Brianhe (talk) 05:11, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indiscriminate cast list

Hi there, I have removed the cast list you added to Gadget & the Gadgetinis. Per MOS:TV, we need either a character list or a cast list, but not both. Voice actor information should be incorporated into the existing character list. "Additional cast" and "Additional voices" are vague lists that are not particularly noteworthy and should be avoided. We should be focusing on the most important information. Thanks, and it's nothing personal, as I'm sure you know. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:35, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Year in review critically acclaimed games sections

Hello Cat's Tuxedo,

I realize you probably put a fair amount of work into these, but I don't think your changes to the Year in Video Gaming lists was actually an improvement (e.g. 2016 in video gaming , 2017 in video gaming ). Most notably, you don't appear to have used any "sanity" threshold on these lists for number of reviews. It's comparatively easy to get a high score off just 4 reviews on obscure sites or the like, but it's misleading to consider that equivalent to more heavily reviewed games reviewed by all the big players. This is a smaller issue, but I also don't see the advantage in including GameRankings. See Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Video_games/Archive_119#GameRankings_discussion for one old discussion on the topic. If nothing else, including GR has bloated the length of these lists more than I think is merited - a stylistic preference to be sure, but going more than 25 or so games starts getting a little too long. Basically, I'd rather we go back to one source (MetaCritic) and enforce a threshold of at least 10 reviews to make the resulting list, with mentioning in prose at the end of the table highly scoring games with only a few reviews (both gives them credit, but recognizes they are potentially niche and maybe less reviewed for a reason). SnowFire (talk) 20:35, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I really only included GameRankings to begin with because in the earlier years, MetaCritic would omit some significant titles for some reason or another (first two Spyros come to mind), and I needed something to balance that out. Goes without saying that I never bothered to set a cut-off year for the GR stuff. Things definitely started getting wonky around when downloadable titles started becoming a thing since what would appear on one aggregate list at a certain threshold wouldn't be on the other, so I wind up having to increase the range just to make sure both aggregates were adequately represented. Anyway, I understand that "hard work" doesn't always equal merit, so I've got no objections to your proposal. Though to make a suggestion, I would say 2002 would be the ideal year to stop including GR since that looks to be the year MC stopped omitting any of the big stuff. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 23:17, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be fine with GameRankings being used even past 2002 (maybe 2010?), just the really recent stuff it's basically just a worse and less accurate copy. I'll give a look into this. (If I was in charge, it'd be a simple bulleted list of solely game names and platforms as well, but whenever I've added that, someone invariable decides to "help out" and make it a proper table with lots of random extra columns and the like. Oh well. I'm a bit of the less-is-more opinion on the topic.) SnowFire (talk) 23:28, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I'd say 2009's good too; '08 was the last year the sixth gen had any notable critical impact, and '09 does seem to be where the smaller stuff started cluttering things. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 02:31, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Disney's Aladdin (Virgin Games video game). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

While I realize you were trying to keep the pages up to quality, it is not okay to edit war for several days. Please seek administrator help in the future. Izno (talk) 20:22, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Crash

Hi, and sorry for asking. But, I'm really wish for Crash Wrath of Cortex and previous installment games are still canon now for upcoming game: Crash 4. I'm really want to... I'm cannot allow that. I'm don't want that game is the retcon. ^_^ --211.194.41.90 (talk) 18:04, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your wishes don't matter. Unless an official and reliable source that confirms the canon nature of those entries can be provided, they will be deemed non-canon, and you've no authority to claim otherwise. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:07, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I know, but my wishes is matter. Previous installment games are still canon to upcoming game. No non-canon. --211.194.41.90 (talk) 18:11, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, they don't. The world does not revolve around your feelings, and accepting that it doesn't is a part of growing up and becoming an adult. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 18:14, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Argh, Fine, I give! Do whenever you want! I'm still don't like non-canon and retcon! *hand slap* --211.194.41.90 (talk) 18:17, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
