Quit spamming my inbox. My requested change was not vandalism, but in fact a comment on how the locked page should be changed to better describe Nick Cannon's racist, anti-White statements. If you disagree, feel free to explain why there. [[Special:Contributions/66.141.235.58|66.141.235.58]] ([[User talk:66.141.235.58|talk]]) 13:46, 15 July 2020 (UTC) |

Hello - apologies for not writing a reason. I removed the citation because "the insurrectionary messages of the speakers was dissonant with the relative amenities of the sports venue" doesn't make sense - why are amenities of a sports venue dissonant with insurrectionary messages? Would it have been more appropriate if the bathrooms didn't work or something? If you're simply saying that it was unusual that it was held in a stadium instead of in the streets, for example, it can simply state that, otherwise it sounds too much like a judgement to me. Unfortunately I can't access your source to see what the context is. Thanks! 23.240.237.28 (talk) 00:45, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Clarification for citation removal
Hi Guitarist28,
I removed a citation that you reverted because it was for a journal article published a month ago that is not prevalent in the field. Moreover, the citation was added by an author of the article itself (based on his username) and appears to be an attempt to publicize his own work. I looked into the article and it has no citations and I can't find any information about the authors being reputable academics in the field. I work in the field and have never seen reference to this article as a source for the cited information. If this is improper removal of a citation please let me know, it was based on my personal judgement of the situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.198.30.232 (talk) 00:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 15
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Buckethead, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Line 6 and Roger Mayer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:16, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
You might want to withdraw your AfD nomination. Jerod Lycett (talk) 11:54, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Jerodlycett: Why do you say that? The subject of the article appears to fail notability standards. I mean, why a whole article for one sentence about a man that ran a marathon and did not even win? It just is not that notable. Thanks. --Guitarist28 (talk) 12:08, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's not the size of the article that matters, however as stated in the AfD Masini meets WP:NOLYMPICS which states: Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the modern Olympic Games, including the Summer Olympics (since 1896) or the Winter Olympics (since 1924). He competed, he's notable. Jerod Lycett (talk) 12:12, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
