João Luís Gouveia Martins is a Portuguese football manager, and former player, who is currently the manager of Lithuanian club FK Panevėžys[1]
Playing Career
João Luís Martins spent his whole playing career as a defender, playing mostly with Portuguese club Maritimo.
Manager Career
João Luís Martins started his managerial career with GR Cruzado Canicense, before spending 4 years as the manager of Maritimo B. He would spend 4 years as an assistant manager in Qatar with Al Ahli, and in Saudi Arabia with Al-Qadsiah FC, before returning to manage Marítimo B. He would spend 3 years as assistant manager for Lithuanian club FC Stumbras, before spending a few months as their manager. In 2020, he became the manager of Lithuanian team FK Panevėžys
