Editing Yext address
Hi Jimfbleak,
I'd like to update the Yext address on the company's Wikipedia page. As of August 1, 2020, we will be moving to 61 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10011.
Sources: Bloomberg | Crains NY | The Real Deal
I am new to Wikipedia as I've just "inherited" this login at Yext, so I'm not sure what the process is. Would you be able to help me with this? Thank you

Deletion
Hello Jimfbleak,
Thanks for giving me a chance to ask about my article deletion. In the past I had a va;id wikipedia page with the nameof Muneeb M. Mushtaq ..That was deleted , I do not know why.. again I have tried to create a article page recently which again deleted. I have a lot given referal sources of reputed websites and worldwide news channels.I am a entrepreneur so its my genuine profile not promotional. Please help me to make it live.
- Replied on user talk page Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:04, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
I have read all the guidelines. Neither copied any text nor written as promotional, Just I have attached those websites link which is my own business websites askfortask and AIRZAI. For independent verifiable sources I have given the references such as Ted Talk on your tube, CNN channel youtube story to verify that Mushtaq is a entrepreneur.
I am expecting that how can I know which portion is copied, promotional and not independent verifiable sources?
Please help me.

Hello, could you provide me with a copy of the Draft:Shannon Global Energy Solutions article I submitted, which Wikipedia deleted, so I can edit it to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines, please? I did contact Celestina007 to retrieve the deleted material for improvement, but, while I have a link to the title of the article, the workspace under it contains no text from the initial article. Hello, again. Thank you for your response regarding my question above. You requested I add a COI and post the following template to my user page. I have done that on my user pages as well as here: {{paid|user=Lakewood66|employer=MARCH 24 MEDIA LLC|client=Shannon Global Energy Solutions}} You mentioned taking this step, first, before proceeding further. Deletion of my page Dr._Vikas_Singh
Hi, it seems that you have deleted my page Dr._Vikas_Singh due to A7 & G11 sections mentioning the sources are self written. I request you to undelete the page as the sources highlighted are all reputed publication houses. This is my first article and I may not be able to comply all the guidelines of wikipedia however, I will surely improve the content to ensure that it doesn't fall under the same sections. Thank you! DELETED Jay Machiavelli - There points void the reason given for deletion
Jay Machiavelli (talk) 12:25, 7 August 2020 (UTC) Dear Jim,
Everyone seems abundantly vain to you. I'm a little annoyed with the reasons you provided for rudely deleting the page I created to educate those about the emerging artist Jay Machiavelli. Although self written it Clearly is not an autobiography as I then would have made the page for Stephen James Vaughn, my legal name, and not the name that is my business and artist entity; Jay Machiavelli. It's obvious to me Jim since I don't have the 5,000 to pay for someone else to write it that even though the entity CLEARLY exists, and is clearly distinguishable from me as a person myself you won't approve it because it is "Self promoting" how am I promoting? By linking the sources that show the music clearly exists? Because I figured that was just citing clear evidence. So it I'm using wiki be sure not to reference ANYTHING because then I'm promoting it right? Or am I allowed to say that something is true and then show the evidence proving so? Jim how many pages do you delete because you're too lazy to approve them? Jim Idk if you can tell but you really ticked me off. I spent hours putting that together for you to not ask questions, but blindly delete it. And what if I have fans that would find that page very relevant? At the end of it all, your negligence costs me 16 hours of my time that I won't get back. You rudely flagged the page for vanity... Where was I vain? by saying EXACTLY what was said by another source?
All I see is that It's impossible for independent artists and music entrepreneurs to create wiki pages and progress because people like you will keep flagging them for reasons that are honestly justified. I feel very discriminated against, as I made an account thinking it is unlike wikipedia to promote discrimination between economic classes I don't think I need a citation for this one Jim...
I understand the rules and regulations that exist within this encyclopedia, I was not breaking a single one when you deleted my page... It was CLEARLY an artist as there was links to my verified artist pages. This isn't promotion, this is a citation proving I exist. Just as there are even commercial artists that exist... have a wiki page and people don't know of them, I figured as an emerging artist it would be important to cite that I'm verified on Spotify and Apple Music. What makes a artist or business entity "relevant" other than money? The deletion of the page Jay Machiavelli is 100 percent discrimination. IF ONE THING ISN'T VERIFIABLE THAT DOESN"T MEAN DELETE THE WHOLE PAGE JIM. IT MEANS TO POINT OUT WHAT MAYBE NEED BE DELETED TO MAKE THE PAGE TRUE, NOT DELETING THE ENTIRE PAGE.
You don't seem good at your job Jim, sorry for my brutal honesty but I feel necessary to say it to you because through your actions you have said it too many people, without even realizing it. I work as an artist for a living Jim, an artist, producer, DJ & MC so when you deny my page you're telling me I'm not very good at my job, and guessing you have never heard of me.... well that's pretty rude isn't it? You delete peoples hard work without even allowing them a chance to edit or improve the page.... This is 100 percent discrimination against those of use that don't have tons of money to have "more experienced" wiki users do it for us.
Must feel powerful huh Jim? Being able to delete things and then act like they never happened, calling someone vain, then trying to be kind to their face, acting like your trying to help, when in reality your not helping anyone do anything but waste time. Ive now not only spent time putting together the page itself, but I needed to take the time out of my day to make you feel how you made me feel and everyone else when you deleted the page without a second look, no questions asked. Sometimes the nature of which we use information can be tweaked to make things more wiki acceptable no?
End of the day if anyone reads this don't be like Jim. Jim feel free to ask more questions as you would NEED to be a super human with super intelligence to know about, and have all information for ALL of these different topics and pages you have deleted so rudely. If you're not paid well then that's more reason you should enjoy what you're doing and if you don't then please stop doing it. I see no mistake in my page, as there was evidence for ANY and EVERY claim that I made. I guess I'm not good enough for wikipedia... me and you both Jim right?
I'm sorry that I'm not sorry. I'm aware of my rude comments, just as I'm aware my page shouldn't have gotten taken down. I understand wiki DISCOURAGES the way that I have talked to Jim but just as they don't respect my entity Jay Machiavelli, I fail to see the "relevancy" of their discouragement when they're blatantly allowing for discrimination to occur to people who are not as wealth, or even worse at an educational disadvantage. Rather then help people make their pages operational and abide by the wikipedia guidelines Jim saves himself time by deleting you, because to Jim NONE of us are relevant and NONE of us matter. especially me because I'm telling Jim how it is, and I HIGHLY doubt I will even be allowed on Wiki after this but I feel its essential to stand up to everyone like Jim. If I'm completely mistake in things I have said about Jim, well I'll apologize when he does. I understand that it isn't a right to have a wikipage but a privilege, just as Wiki media and all out lying entities should understand what a citation is, and know the difference between an explanation of an entity and business that has over 10,000 monthly listeners and being vain. Jim please refer to the questions that I also asked on the user page to which you tried to so kindly welcome me on, right after you decided my life work wasn't shit, and not worthy of wikipedia....
Any other appeals you would like to make on the page I will GLADY speak to you about, but there is a clear and obvious misinterpretation of what is considered censorship, what is fact, and what is relevant going on here. If Jay Machiavelli was not a presently active artist perhaps - which was on the page. Jim doesn't care and that's the main message I see when I see that you deleted so many pages... No way one man goes through all those facts and fact checks them.. I'M ANGRY JIM CAN YOU TELL?
Sincerely an angry person who is livid at the fact Jim called him vain Jay Machiavelli (talk) 12:25, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Dear Jimfbleak, I am currently trying to discover how Wikipedia works, so I hope this is the right way to ask you a few questions.
I currently work for a non-profit organisation that hosts a conference about clinical technology. The goal of this conference is to share new technologies to help patients, by bringing scientists together from all over the world.
I came up with the idea to make a wikipedia page about the conference back in January, but never followed up on it. I read about writing articles with a "conflict of interest" and I was wondering if I am allowed to write a informative page about the conference.
If I am allowed to write, could you give me a tip about how to start? My knowledge on wikipedia is not very substantial and I find it hard to start learning Kante009 (talk) 12:24, 10 August 2020 (UTC) —

Thomas Wangsmo
Hi, Jim! Thanks for your message. I am aware that writing articles about oneself is discouraged, I just thought there was no harm in creating one translated from the already existing corresponding Norwegian Wikipedia article. All the information in the text should be unbiased, and where it could be read as otherwise, it is simply quoting an external article. I'd be happy to pare the article even further down, to create an even simpler, facts only version. In fact, this is an attempt at writing just that, a short, facts only article. There are already three other Wikipedia articles referencing me, although none of them mark my name in red to indicate a missing article: https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?sort=relevance&search=Thomas+Wangsmo&title=Special:Search&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&advancedSearch-current=%7B%7D&ns0=1, but I thought it'd be nice for people to be able to look me up anyway.
Hope this new article can be published. If not, I guess people will just have to make do with the Norwegian one and use Google translate instead.
Best regards,
Thomas
Thomaswangsmo (talk) 13:59, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thomaswangsmo, there are dozens of draft autobiographies posted here every day. Most of those I see, I delete on sight. Yours is still there because it has references and makes a credible claim for notability, and is a step up from the "X is an up-and-coming 16 year old rapper" that we normally get. I doubt that an AFC reviewer will pass it as it stands, since it needs better refs, but it's not bad enough for a speedy deletion, so you have a breathing space. I've replied on Commons regarding the image, the copyright policy here is very strict; if the source url doesn't say it is free to use for any purpose, it can't be used Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:50, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
Ok, Jim. I have now removed the image from my personal website. Please recheck http://www.thomaswangsmo.com/cv/ to confirm. With this, I guess it should be pretty obvious that I actually am Thomas Wangsmo as well. I'm finding it very strange that on one hand, Wikipedia are reluctant to let me write an article on myself that is simply a translation of the Norwegian Wikipedia article, because I am the person the article is about, while on the other hand I am not able to license my own photos under CC through Wikimedia. Shouldn't it be one or the other? Either I am Thomas Wangsmo, or I am not, correct? Either way, can you accept the undelete request for the first image you put in a possible copyright violation notice on now? And with that, the other two images I had uploaded of myself and my filmposter that were deleted by a bot? It would be much appreciated. With regards to the article, I honestly don't care that much. If it's not accepted, it's not accepted. I'm not going to spend any more time trying to get it accepted. I have no idea what you mean by "better refs" - you might want to qualify feedback like that with an actual reason for the lacking quality in the existing ones. The references are IMDb, a very reputed Norwegian film magazine, and a couple of other, well established film websites. Not exactly unreliable sources. Anywho, I see you have now gone and deleted my user. You can expect to be the subject of a formal complaint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomaswangsmo (talk • contribs) 15:40, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
Edit: Sorry, Jim. I see you did not delete my user, only the article I wrote on my user. That's ok, I just didn't understand the instructions on where to actually write the draft for the article I proposed on myself. I will await what happens with regards to the deleted photos from Wikimedia and consider my further actions from there. Thanks. Thomaswangsmo (talk) 15:47, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thomaswangsmo, you have the right to upload your own photos, what is at issue is whether they have an acceptable licence. Every day people upload pages they have taken from all sorts of websites as their own work, when it clearly isn't. In your case, we have a conflict between your Commons posting, releasing the image to Wikipedia, and the website which carried no such disclaimer. Since we can't verify your identity, the website is they key. I'm not an admin on Commons, so I can't delete or undelete images. You will have to ask 1989 there if anything can be done. You would do better to put the image back, though, with a PD release Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:13, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Jimfbleak: Ok, I understand. I got the impression 1989 was a bot that couldn't be messaged. Anyway, I was adviced by User:elcobbola to write an email giving Wikimedia permission to use these images under a CC license, as described here: COM:OTRS/CONSENT I have now done so for the most recent photo of me and the film poster, so hopefully that'll sort everything out. The third photo is nowhere to be found online, at least through TinEye, so I'm not sure why the bot took that down. At any rate, I'm not using that photo anymore, so I won't bother following up on that one. I'm not sure if you were aware of the possibility of sending an email (or using the Interactive Release Generator), but it probably would have been a lot easier to start the conversation off with that. One would have to be the actual copyright holder in order to complete that process, or go through a very elaborate scheme to impersonate one. All in all I suppose it was a good thing to get these images properly licensed under the latest CC BY-SA-4.0, and learning a bit more about this process. Take care.
