Can a complete draft demonstrate notability. If that what you are explaining. I just started on this draft. Like I said I'm only go edit it once a week. :A draft needs to demonstrate notablity (please study the links previously provided) and must include sources to support statements of fact. See [[:WP:REFB]] for the guidelines on how to correctly add references. If you have seen mention of 8 weeks at AfC, I suspect that this refers to the current estimated time that *could* elapse before a draft is reviewed. It could be less or it could be more. Reviewed does not mean accepted though. Typically, I would say more drafts are declined and returned for improvement, than are accepted. Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! August 2020
Please do not remove declinature notices from draft articles as you did at Draft:VVG SQUAD. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 23:19, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Why, not. The request is declined or I should keep for two months until it's submitted as an articleThomas9877 (talk) 23:23, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- It is a Wikipedia policy that the notices are not removed. I have restored it once more. You should not remove it again or it could be seen as disruptive and may lead to the loss of editing privileges. Unless the draft can demonstrate WP:NOTABILITY it is unlikely to be accepted as an article. Eagleash (talk) 23:30, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Why it is unlikely to be accepted as an article. It should take no sooner than 8 weeks for it to be accepted as an articleThomas9877 (talk) 23:40, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
I understand now. I agree to wait at least eight weeks for my draft to become an article. Also I will edit my draft once a week. Thomas9877 (talk) 23:44, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- (edit conflict):Because it does not demonstrate notability. I would suggest that you carefully study all the links provided above together with the notability guidelines and you may find WP:YFA and this page to be helpful also. Wikipedia reports on what has been written (in-depth coverage) in multiple independent, reliable sources.
- In addition, if you think the draft will somehow automatically become an article in 8 weeks (I do not know why you would think that) that is not the case. All new articles go through a review process to some extent and have to be reviewed and accepted by experienced Wikipedians who are provided with the the tools to do so effectively. Eagleash (talk) 23:53, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
If you read the help instructions of Articles of Creation you'll know what I'm talking about. Or you saying that my draft have to be an complete draft before being submitted as an articleThomas9877 (talk) 23:59, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
