Ishaa M Saha[2] is an Indian actor who mainly works in Bengali cinema. She started her career with Bengali television and made her debut in Bengali cinema in 2017 as a lead with Projapoti Biskut [3]
Early life and education
Saha was born in Kolkata. She is the daughter of Shankar Saha and Pranati Saha. Saha passed Bachelor of Laws from University of Calcutta and started her career as a television artist in 2016 with Star Jalsha's Jhanjh Lobongo Phool as Lobongo.[4] [5]
Career
She made her film debut in 2017, with the family drama Projapoti Biskut directed by Anindya Chatterjee, which was critically and commercially successful from the day of launch of its trailer.[6] She received praise of the audience and for her performance, she received 3rd Filmfare Awards East for Critics’ Award for Best Actor (Female).[7] In 2018, saha played the role of Jhinuk[8], a girl next door, alongside Abir Chatterjee & Arjun Chakrabarty as female protagonist in the 'Guptodhon' franchise i.e. Guptodhoner Sondhane(2018) & Durgeshgorer Guptodhon(2019).[9] Saha gained wider recognition & appreciation for her performance in Sweater[10], the film also turned out to be a huge Box Office success[11]. Both Sweater & Durgeshgorer Guptodhon are in 'Top Rated Bengali Movies Of 2019' list[12]. She will next star in Dhrubo Banerjee's[13] Golondaaj, opposite Dev[14][15].
