In 2001, Jade Villalon, then frontwoman of Sweetbox recorded the song for the Classified album. Later, in 2005, a new version, titled "Everything's Gonna Be Alright -Reborn-", featuring Toby Breitenbach, was released to promote the compilation album Best of Sweetbox.

In 2007, former Sweetbox frontwoman Tina Harris released a new re-recorded version of the song on her album Sunshine, which was only released digitally and was a worldwide re-release of her Japan-only 2003 album Love Makes The World Go Round with the title track and the new version of the Sweetbox hit as new tracks.

In 2009, the new frontwoman Jamie Pineda recorded a version of the song to put on her first Sweetbox album, entitled The Next Generation. This version includes new verses and male vocalist/producer Derek Bramble on the track. Yasutaka Nakata remixed the song as a bonus track for the album.

In 2020, Jade Villalon made a comeback to Sweetbox, joining the new frontwoman Saint Viv. Together they recorded a new version of the song with modified lyrics on Sweetbox's newest album Da Capo.

In 1998, the song was used in a popular Ôui Lancôme perfume commercial starring Belgian actress and model Marie Gillain. Lancôme later endorsed Sweetbox during their North American tour.

In 2011, the song was included in the soundtrack of the Japanese movie Paradise kiss. In particular, it was used in the scene of Yukari's parade.

In 2018, Bebe Rexha sampled the song in a few verses of her hit song I’m A Mess.
