Southgate is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas, United States.
Southgate is located inside the 610 Loop west of the Texas Medical Center and Rice University, north of Old Braeswood and Reliant Park, south of Rice Village, and east of the city of West University Place and the neighborhood of Braeswood Place. The neighborhood is mainly filled with houses built in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. The neighborhood is bordered by West Holcombe, Greenbriar, University, and Travis.
Southgate is in Texas's 7th congressional district [1].
Fire service
Houston Fire Department Fire Station 37 [2] is located at 3828 Aberdeen Way. Houston Fire Department Station 33 Braes Heights Medical Center is near the Texas Medical Center at 7100 Fannin @ South Braeswood [3].
Police service
The neighborhood is within the Houston Police Department's South Central Patrol Division [4].
