In November 2017, Ronnen Harary confirmed that Spin Master is "currently considering whether to extend the PAW Patrol franchise into feature films and the company is currently in the process of developing a film script.[1] Animation for the film will be done by Mikros Image.[2][non-primary source needed] Cal Brunker will direct the film.[3]

Production was done via telecommuting during the COVID-19 pandemic.[4]
