I just wrote my first article about Hoplite. A game you know nothing about. You just erased everything without asking me. You are just a buffonesque troll my friend. You should be ashamed. My source morron is I am a high ranked player at Hoplite knowing many other things I did not put yet in the article. But because you are a stupid arrogant clown with no education and no manners you decided to troll. I will find out how to report you and get you removed for good from wikipedia. You do not deserve to be here. 8 years of trolling. Lol. Buy yourself alife instead of spoiling other's work you talentless morron. Ulon Prmgin (talk) 14:26, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Anish Kapoor’s Nickname
Hello! I’m new to Wikipedia editing but I made an account today to officially edit Sir Anish Kapoor’s page and you took it down. I was just wondering why you did that? I can get you the source about his new nickname if that’s helpful. It’s official as of this morning. Have a good one! -Stormi :) StormiCat (talk) 21:20, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

Response from Extrude Hone
Thanks for deleting all edits I made. I'm one employee from Extrude Hone and the information added is the true history of the company. And come in addition to the really minimum information which was already provided and kept. There was nothing promoting any benefits there were only facts. Is adding a photo of the company building considered as promotional? Do links to Wikipedia industry page like automotive seen as promotional knowing that this is obviously the main business from Extrude Hone. If I compare the information provided to a page like General Motors I feel I can find the same facts, same structure. I do value Wikipedia spirit but I'was struggling to understand what happened to my edits. You provided the answer "financial interest and compliance" - — Preceding unsigned comment added by Extrude Hone (talk • contribs) 06:56, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
I guess I had missed the declaration that I'm an employee.
Extrude Hone, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by Extrude Hone for their contributions to Wikipedia. |
. Now corrected. Could you revert the deletion?
Hello Viewmont Viking Based on wiki below nfo On September 15th: diffhist Extrude Hone Corporation 15:52 -726 Viewmont Viking talk contribs Completely unsourced article, redirect to barely cited parent company Tag: New redirect (@Viewmont Viking:), As you did the redirect assuming Extrude Hone belongs to Kennametal. I suggest you consider the above sources I submitted in the above section that prove that it's no longer the case. I would appreciate if you could revert the redirect. I perfectly understood all the mistakes I made. I declared by now that I'm an employee of Extrude Hone, long enough to had the honor to work with the founder Larry Rhoades. I have requested a name change to also be compliant. I'm for now blocked and waiting. The edits I had submitted, the history and description of what Extrude Hone does are all back up with independent sources which in the meantime I collected. I will suggest all this as potential changes for the Extrude Hone page when back and allowed to do so. And I do appreciate any correction if it would sound too promotional. I think history, market the company is in, and technology used when documented with independent sources should be OK. I understand you followed unfortunately undocumented statement info to take action, that's OK, could happen. Now that you have proof to decide, please revert your action.

Hello, I'm OrderOftheNerds. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
- First it is not August - Second I explained it is not encyclopedic in tone, and it is promotional in a fashion especially using the specific twitter handle. This is not the way Wikipedia works.--VVikingTalkEdits 13:55, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- However in astronomical articles we normally do such attribution to people who gave newly-discovered objects such as asteroids and moons name. Have you considered the idea of helping to make the paragraph more encyclopedic in tone instead of outrightly removing it?OrderOftheNerds (talk) 13:57, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- I considered it, then figured you could try again and learn how Wikipedia works at the same time. Maybe take it to the talk page since this seems to be a conflict as another editor has also removed the information.--VVikingTalkEdits 13:59, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- The respective talk page looks like nobody's bothering go and check there at this point but I'd prefer taking it up with another residential editor with expertise on the subject of these articles - @Nrco0e: OrderOftheNerds (talk) 14:02, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- I am out you do what you want. I will not be involved in an edit war. It is not worth my time. I try to make Wikipedia a better place if individuals want to to continue to add things I don't think are encyclopedic I am fine with that, this is opinion. I try to deal more with strict promotional and vandalism. Thank you for your conversation.--VVikingTalkEdits 14:06, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- The names and their handles after all are already mentioned by the International Astronomical Union in their official announcement regarding the christening of names so by itself it hardly looks like a "low-effort" promotional content. Good luck nontheless.OrderOftheNerds (talk) 14:08, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- By the way, TIL that WP:WEASEL is also a thing in Wikipedia's manual of style. Thanks for helping me (inadvertently!) to precisely know what I'm trying to communicate.--OrderOftheNerds (talk) 14:47, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Hello, moderator, My name is Maurice B. Thomas, professionally knowledgable of the career and history of Mr. Pervis Spann, in particular, and others at WVON and many other Broadcast outlets for Radio and Television and Broadcasting in America, in general, since licensure by the Federal Communications, since 1969, and as a broadcaster from WOPA, in Oak Park, Illinois, that same year, the same radio station, located in the Oak Park Arms Hotel Penthouse, at the times that Mr Span and I and others purchased Broker Time from the signal, which was then owned by Sonderling Broadcasting Corporation. As sole proprietor of MARKETEX tm, March 25, 1969,(Cook County Clerk Certificate of Assumed Business Name Certificate, B69018847, March 25, 1969) and incorporator of MARKETEX Corporation (2011), constituting the oldest Communications, Marketing and Computer Software Development Organization in North America, still run by and wholly owned by its original founder after 51 years and 6 months, (or six years older than Microsoft and 8 years older than Apple, Corporation.) I stand by the veracty of the statements added to the wiki for Mr. Pervis Spann, who is not simply "A Blues Man," and since exclusion of that statement denigrates the considerable skill and business acumen of this widely acknowledged Pioneer in Black Radio Station ownership. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MARKETEX2020 (talk • contribs) 20:48, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

By the way, I am the original owner ofthe username Marketex, as well, as I am 75 years of age, while Mr. Spann is, as stated, 88 years of age since I was born in August, 1945, and Mr. Spann was born in August, 1932, so please respect your elders, SirMARKETEX2020 (talk) 21:18, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Help with starting out
Hi, I set up an account so that I could update wikipedia pages for wrecks protected under the Protection of Wrecks Act in the UK on behalf of Historic England, the archaeological regulators for the UK. The updates specifically relate to adding links to the National Heritage List for England record pages for each wreck, and including links to virtual or physical dive trails. My edits have been removed, would you be able to explain to me how I might be able to make these edits without them being removed? Thanks! MSDSMarine (talk) 13:36, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- First off do you have a Conflict of Interest i.e. are you associated with the organization that you are trying to link to.--VVikingTalkEdits 13:37, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Not exactly, I am a volunteer helping Historic England to update the info on the wrecks they manage! MSDSMarine (talk) 13:43, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Based on that you do have a COI as you are editing Wikipedia on behalf of Historic England. Your actions may constitute Spamming by entering in multiple instances of the Historic England Website for an organization that you have an COI. I recommend going to the talk page and making an edit request on the talk page of the article so an uninvolved editor can review the changes you are requesting and determine if they add value to the article. --VVikingTalkEdits 13:49, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
I see, there are 52 Protected Wreck pages that will need updating, do I have to ask an editor to review every single change, is there a way I can get blanket permission to add the Historic England links in for all of them and then have a reviewer check them, rather than having to wait for an editor to check every single one each time? MSDSMarine (talk) 13:53, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- An individual on your talk page seems to want to work with you, they feel that your project is worthwhile. If I were you I would work with them to make the determination how the project would like to proceed.VVikingTalkEdits 13:54, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Will do! I didn't realise that this would be such a process! Thanks for you help, I'll get there eventually!! :) MSDSMarine (talk) 13:57, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
Spam Content??
I do apologize if my contributions came across as "spam" or advertising. However, I was adding additional useful information to those pages. Particularly detailing information on the properties of magnetism in Tourmaline. Including the inclusion of an existing wikipedia page on pyroelecticity. The pages that I was adding information to lacked additional, useful detail. However, I will give it to you that it could have been a stretch on the scrap and do acknowledge that. It would be appreciated though if you could undo the other ones. I am not advertising or spamming. Thank you. (Igscoin (talk) 14:14, 13 October 2020 (UTC))
- Yes spam and all but one of your sources which was the past time museum was linked to a company called Vermillion Enterprises. "BUYING, TOP DOLLAR PAID, WHAT WE ARE BUYING!!" are just a few of the items on their page. Please know if you are linked with this organization you should declare your COI or Paid. --VVikingTalkEdits 14:59, 13 October 2020 (UTC)
Lakshmi Sudhanshu (talk) 17:08, 19 October 2020 (UTC) Thank you for letting me know. There was an error while putting the link. Thank you for revising it again. The link already there is a broken link. Though I know that links in Wikipedia are nofollow link, I was trying to replace with another link from blogger. I m just a final year medical student, but if my blog seems relevant for the post we can add it for the EDD calculator. You may have a look at the link https://deetsapp.blogspot.com/2020/10/Pregnancy-due-date-calculator.html If it seems fine to you, it can replace the broken link. Thank you.
