all of the references appear to be websites of organisations. there are no peer reviewed articles evaluating this intervention and no evidence that it is used as a treatment. the WP:undue is appropriate —Preceding unsigned comment added by Earlypsychosis (talkcontribs) 18:49, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added a new section under "services"

my college course required me to edit a Wikipedia page. I tried my best to provide accurate and relevant information.

Outline of Changes I'd like to make to this Page

The biggest change I would like to make is adding a section on research done into using physical activity as a means of treating mental disorders. While this is not currently a prescribed method of treatment, much research has shown its positive value and it has potential to be implemented as treatment in the future.

Outline:

Intro:

  • Re word "Individuals diagnosed with mental disorders are typically deemed unable to function in society." as many individuals do function normally in society with mental illness.
  • Break the last sentence into 2 separate sentences.

History:

  • Add several sentences on the background of the realization that physical activity has positive mental effects.
  • Check the sources for provided information and add more sources.
  • Fix small grammatical errors

Influences:

  • Find sources for the given information

Psychotherapy:

  • Add more sources for the given information

Medication:

  • Add sources for the information given

New section on Physical Activity:

  • Sub section about the research completed thus far and why it has been problematic to obtain data.
  • Sub section about all of the positive results that have been found and what findings have shown. Also discuss how physical activity can be used in combination with other treatments.

Other:

  • Expand descriptions of alternative types of therapy
  • Add sources to section

Services:

  • Reword some of the statements to create a better flowing paragraph.

Stigmas and Treatment:

  • Give section title heading text opposed to sub heading text
