Vistamar School is a non-profit, private, co-ed college-prep high school in the South Bay of Los Angeles, California.

Vistamar School opened in September 2005, following almost four years of research, planning, fund raising, and personnel recruitment. At the moment, the school has a large facility, but the amount of useable space is currently quite small. Over the next few years, Vistamar hopes to expand and use the current amount of space available for their use.


Courses

Vistamar offers a wide array of different courses to the student body.

Maths

Humanities

This is the study of English and History.

Languages

Vistamar has two language programs:

  • Spanish- Offered in three levels: Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3 and Native Speakers Spanish.
  • Mandarin Chinese- Level 1 and Level 2 are currently availible, then next year a level 3 will be started.

Sciences

In the Freshman and Sophomore years, Science is offered in a rotation between Chemistry, Physics and Biology. In the Junior year, students have the option of taking AP Biology or Anatomy.
