Connotated/connoted

Hi Toddy1,

although I'm not a native speaker of English, I believe that the word "connotated" doesn't exist (although there exists the word "connotation"). See Merriam-Webster. I've therefore reverted your reversion of my edit in Concubinage again. (I've noticed that the caption given by the uploader says "connotated", but nevertheless...)

There is an English-language verb "connotate".-- Toddy1 (talk) 12:24, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any sources for your claim? Here another link where it's marked as "obsolete". As native German speaker, I ususally use LEO, there I can also find only rumours that this verb exist. The verb is actually connote, not connotate. Regards Cyfal (talk) 12:45, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't notice your modification of Concubinage - thus this question is no longer important. Regards --Cyfal (talk) 12:51, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
