Your Teahouse question
Hello and welcome to WP!
About a WP-article about you. Maybe possible (I currently have no idea), but not easy.
First, check and consider the guidance at these links:
- WP:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing
- WP:Conflict of interest
- WP:Biographies of living persons
Still want to spend time on this? I may be willing/able to help.
Now, the important barrier is WP:GNG/WP:BASIC. So, what sources do you have that are at the same time reliably published (see WP:RS), independent of you (or your companies, your publisher, etc) and about you in some detail? This excludes google knowledge panel, blogs, wikis, online bookstores, your websites, interviews with you etc etc. If you can, link the 4-5 best you can think of, and I'll give you my opinion, can-an-article-be-made-wise. You can reply at this page, I'm watching it, but I'm not on WP 24/7, WP is a hobby. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:42, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Be aware that Wikipedia tries to dissuade people from attempting autobiography articles (see WP:AUTO), but does not prohibit. David notMD (talk) 22:07, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- Gråbergs Gråa Sång, here's one.[1] Ms. Wilson, what we need are multiple articles like this. It's a lengthy story about you. For chefs/recipe developers/food writers, proving notability can be tricky because often we find mostly interviews, articles by the person, or recipe articles about one of your recipes, and for food writers in particular you've often contributed to a publication that covers you, which can be an issue in determining affiliation. What we need are articles about you, and you're in Shutesbury, is that correct? We'd need to see articles from outside of your own area, too. That is, multiple articles in the Boston Globe or coverage in your local area of Massachusetts aren't enough (unless they get picked up by other publications in other places). An article in a national industry magazine or paper would count. An article that that dealt with multiple of your recipes and only yours might count, if you weren't currently a contributor to that publication. —valereee (talk) 11:13, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
((edit conflict) with Valereee) As an example, this Dede Wilson has big plans for Bakepedia.com is the stuff we want. If there's more like that, there won't be much of a problem. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:17, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
