Aegis Malinnov Sdn Bhd also known as Malinnov (short for Malaysia Innovation) is a defence and security company that focus on designing and manufacturing firearms, ammunitions and also defence and security related products mainly for Malaysian government and agencies.[1]

History

The company was formed in 2012 aiming to be one of the defence companies in Malaysia that produces military equipment for Malaysian Armed Forces especially firearms. Its start with gaining license from Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ) of Czech and be the authorized dealer for all Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ) products in Malaysia.[2] Malinnov moving forward by designing and manufacturing their own semi-automatic pistol called Malinnov M1P in 2015.[3] This pistol is an improved NATO-standard 9×19 mm Parabellum round, a series of polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, double-action semi-automatic pistols.[4]
