Please do not think that User:Meshimeshikoko and User:Yunchang246 are sockpuppets of Wikireverse-ho just because they do similar things
Note: Please do not think I'm another sockpuppet of them who is just using an IP address, because I'm a different person
Nobody did anything. You are just lying to others and wanting people to block non-sockpuppets. Remember a thing is a thing, not a double of a thing, of course. If the other accounts were named 'Meshireverse-ho' and 'Yunchareverse-ho' they might WILL be, sorry but they're not. ~ 80.246.130.16 (talk) 12:10, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Removal of Verified Information
Why doesn't Wikipedia allow public domain information, even if it's from a court document which is public info, as a link to verify information? In turn you removed all of the members of H-Town's birthdays. But you allow articles written from random websites to verify info which you can't confirm as true. That doesn't any sense, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Readymade777 (talk • contribs) 13:32, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't reprint info from court documents and government databases since subjects should have some expectation of privacy (see WP:BLPPRIMARY) – if someone's birthday hasn't been published in secondary sources or by the subject we omit it. – Thjarkur (talk) 14:02, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 19
News and updates associated with user scripts from the past month (December 2020).
Hello everyone and welcome to the 19th issue of the Wikipedia Scripts++ Newsletter:
Scripts Submit your new/improved script here
|
- Voting in the m:Community Wishlist Survey 2021 is ongoing until December 21, 2020. There are 15 proposals in the "bots and gadgets" category that may be of interest.
- A script to help list discussions at WP:ANRFC (request)
- A script to allow undoing edits despite conflicting intermediary edits (request)
- ...and many more, all available at Wikipedia:User scripts/Requests
- The Watchlist Expiry feature worked on by the Community Tech team has been enabled on Wikipedia. For scripts that include watching or unwatching pages, developers may want to update their code to take advantage of the new functionality. See the documentation on mediawiki.org.
- As noted in the prior issue, Enterprisey's links-in-logs script has now been implemented as part of MediaWiki core. By my count, this is his third script that was replaced by implementing the code in MediaWiki core or an extension, along with link-section-edits and abusefilter-hide-search. Additionally, his reply-link script is being converted in part to mw:Extension:DiscussionTools. Are there any other scripts that might be worth integrating directly in MediaWiki? Thoughts would be welcome at Wikipedia talk:Scripts++.
As always, if anyone else would like to contribute, help is appreciated. Stay safe, and happy holidays! --DannyS712 (talk) 00:19, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
RE: Singh Tyagi surname
Hello
1. My ancestor from 9 generations earlier from Mughal times was Chaudhary Maha Singh. The whole village is predominantly his decendents. 2. My Grandfather from Sambhal District UP did not write Tyagi as his last name, he wrote Singh. 3. My other Grandfather from Karnal Haryana did not write Tyagi either. Some of his brother's used Sharma, served in WWII. 4. My Father, an Officer in the Indian Army started writing last name Tyagi. His cousins had names like Ram Singh, Phool Singh.
Do you mean to say that all these people are not Tyagis? How, please explain? Regards.
M Tyagi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Watcher2009 (talk • contribs) 20:57, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- The article is not currently about a clan, but about a particular surname. (See also WP:OR) – Thjarkur (talk) 21:26, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

- I'm honestly almost impressed that user keeps getting away with this trick – Thjarkur (talk) 22:01, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much!
Thank you for this request! This persecution has drained me terribly, and I'm glad someone took notice of this obvious sockpuppetry.--Nicoljaus (talk) 00:01, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yes I can imagine. I'm not even quite sure how your previous protests about this user being a sock went unheeded – Thjarkur (talk) 00:30, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Well, I can't say that my protests went completely unheeded )) I got a couple of wonderful blocks and they opened my IPs to all who want to know them. Okay, thanks again.--Nicoljaus (talk) 07:21, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
yes, please submit Craig_Melrose page for deletion
Hi Pjakur,
Yes, please delete the page HTTP://wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Melrose publishing. I was demonstrating how to set up a page and accidentally published this.
Thank you
