Temporary ban
My account and IP address were recently banned from editing Wikipedia pages or using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. The message I received from the Wayback Machine was that I had requested too many pages within a short span of time. After waiting a few minutes and trying again the ban appeared to be lifted as I was able to edit the page I was working on. I'm very new to contributing to Wikipedia and I am currently working on my first page for an obscure Canadian Hip Hop artist that I came across while listening to music. I was wondering why I was banned at all and how the ban was lifted so quickly. If I'm clearly doing something wrong please let me know and I'll try to fix it in the future. Emay (rapper) moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Emay (rapper), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of The Magnificast
A tag has been placed on The Magnificast requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. DannyS712 (talk) 12:52, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 1
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Yardland International School (Chitrakoot), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CIS. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:28, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
Art Napoleon
I really love this article. Such an interesting and worthy person. You have done a very good job of researching, writing, and providing good sources. I hope you are not offended by my copyedits and wikilink additions. I look forward to seeing this in Mainspace, where it belongs. I have a senior editor "friend", who may be interested in this type of topic...would you like for me to recommend that he have a look? No promises, of course, and you may prefer to go thru the article creation process of review. Either way, please keep writing! Many of us can copyedit, here and there, adding wikilinks and such, but we need special people like you, who have great ideas, and know how to research and write. Best wishes, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 04:59, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! It's nice to hear a positive responses to an article. Yeah, I was actually quite surprised there wasn't already an article for Art Napoleon especially the more I looked into it. That'd be great if your friend wants to take a look at it and provide feedback or contribute to the page. Thanks again, have a good day! Tribe of Tiger TipsyElephant (talk) 11:59, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, I have requested that the friendly senior editor have a peek at your very nice article. I don't wish to be a WP elitist, but by reading the Teahouse, over time, I have seen some rather dreadful articles, refused for good reason, by the AFC process. (No sources, bad sources, etc.) Yours is not one of them. I am no WP expert, but I believe that Mr. Napoleon's notability is proved by the good sources provided, per WP:GNG. The article is well-written. When I wished to reword some of your sentences, I read the sources, and they supported the information, and were not copy violations or close paraphrasing. They are not blogs or other unreliable sources, they are normal newspapers, etc. I could access them, and confirm the information for myself. I will continue to check through, to assist with any small problems I spot. (I am a bit of a reference geek.) But, I believe in the integrity of this article. Thanks for allowing me to work here. Sincerely, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 04:56, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
- My apologies, the editor said that the article looked "quite good", but they didn't have time to do a thorough examination, in order to move to Mainspace. So, "we" must wait...but since you have published other articles, you understand how this works. I am the (inexperienced) person who became very excited about your creation, and said, in effect: "It's great, wonderful, fabulous, publish it now!" Anyway, I am sorry if my excess of enthusiasm has distressed you, in any way. Still, the feedback of "quite good" is an affirmation, IMO. Best wishes, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 22:42, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- You're totally fine Tribe of Tiger, I really appreciate the feedback. I haven't received positive feedback on Wikipedia until now so it's a welcome change (my first attempt at an article didn't receive feedback until it was on track for deletion). I think technically I could move it to mainspace because of my editing history or whatever, but because I've had issues in the past I figured getting it reviewed would be beneficial. - Thanks for your kind words! My impression is that we can edit freely...until someone sees a "problem"...which is when we receive feedback! Yes, since you have an account and are auto-confirmed, you could immediately move an article to Mainspace at any time. It will then be reviewed by WP:NPP. But a poor-quality article is likely to be deleted, so I think that's why the WP:AFC & article wizard were formed, to assist editors in producing articles that meet requirements. Waiting for an article to be reviewed is a slow process, but my understanding is that it has a better (but not perfect) chance of surviving the gauntlet of WP:NPP.
- Sigh...I am probably telling you things you already know. I am sorry that you had to defend your first article. Did it go through the AFC process? Although I have been editing nearly five years, I have never written an article. Now, I am working on a draft, so I may end up asking for your opinion! Best, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 23:50, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- I only had a guess as to how things worked so hearing it for sure confirms what it. The article did eventually make it through the AFC process. I definitely made a lot of mistakes the first time around, but I also learned a lot from it. Here's the article if you're interested: Emay (rapper). TipsyElephant (talk) 13:51, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Following your work...
Because you have a talent for creating or adding to interesting articles, you will note that I "followed " you to Nicholas Galanin. You have done excellent work by greatly expanding the article. I didn't think you would mind my copyediting, etc. Now, I see your draft for Quanah Style, and I hope it's okay if I copyedit here, also. Your interesting articles deserve to succeed, and I will do my best to assist. But....I don't want to seem like a creepy editor. So, I thought it best to announce my good intentions towards Quanah Style. Thanks for your excellent additions to WP. Respectfully, Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 23:17, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- I don't mind at all. It's nice to have someone to bounce questions and concerns off of instead of asking them all at the teahouse. Thanks for the interest and the help, I appreciate it. TipsyElephant (talk) 13:23, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, it is my pleasure! As for the Teahouse, I hang out there, to learn, but also because I find editors who might welcome a bit of assistance. This year, I have very good luck, not only by meeting you, but also two other people, who really needed assistance. Will post some articles, so you can see what I have "helped with", this year! Speedy deletion nomination of Know Your Enemy (Podcast)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Know Your Enemy (Podcast) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
