  • 15:4415:44, 12 September 2020 diff hist +550 Comparison of Japanese and Korean What I mean extreme contraction is like this 그 아이를→그 애를→그 앨→걜 (two words have 4 levels of contraction, eventually becomes a single syllable) as well as how everything has its short forms 그러면(그럼), 놓아두다(놔두다), 무엇이(뭣이, 무에, 뭐가) 것은(건), 것이(게), 것으로(걸로), 나의(내). These contracted words have doubled the volume of the Korean dictionary. It's such a huge amount.

Chinese is not widely spoken, it's only spoken by Chinese people. Hindi is spoken by hundreds of millions of people but no one says it's widely spoken. Chinese should be mentioned in isolating languages, not here.
