Poplar is a rural unincorporated community in Audubon County, Iowa, in the United States.[1] It lays west of the town of [[Audubon, Iowa|Audubon][2] near the border of Shelby County.[3]
History
A post office was established in Poplar in 1893, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1903.[4]
It also had a general store.[5] A plan to lay out streets and potentially incorporate in 1902 never materialized.[6]
