American Indians should be changed to Native Americans. Since "Indians" is just a mistake made by Christopher Columbus.

I did it, although some quotes couldn't be changed obviously.βӪᑸᙥӴTalkContribs 17:00, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Native Americans" should be changed back to "American Indians." They have been called "Indians" for over 500 years, and "American Indians" is the standard terminology. You should not change words merely to pander to the woke police. Headystorm (talk) 09:34, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:13, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

“American Indian“ and “Native American” are both acceptable I believe, so in this case the status quo should be preserved. Swyix (talk) 23:26, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Better summary information?

There's some basic summary information that I had trouble finding in this article: how many members did the expedition have, and what were there names? How many died on the trip?
