Soviet Union

This article portrays only China, what about Soviet Manchuria? Wasnt Manchuria divided 3 ways before the Japanese occupation? Ottawakismet (talk) 15:27, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work Asiaticus! I will help you on formatting the article. AQu01rius (User | Talk | Websites)  17:17, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:MILHIST Assessment

A very nice start, and I trust that it is still a work in progress. Just a little more work on organization and formatting will make this easily B-class, perhaps even higher as work continues. One thing I do have to point out, though, is the lack of an introduction. It may seem silly, but it is standard Wikipedia practice to start with the title of the article in bold, leading into a simple introduction to the topic. "The invasion of Manchuria by the Imperial Japanese Army, beginning on September 19 1931, immediately following the Mukden Incident, marks the beginning of the Second Sino-Japanese War. The Japanese occupation of Manchuria would last until the end of World War II in August 1945" or something to that effect. (As a Japanese historian, I really should know these details better; I apologize if my example misrepresents the facts.) Thanks for your hard work, and keep it up! Could you include something on the role of the League of Nations in the Manchurian Crisis (Lord Lytton etc.)?

Repairing vandalism

I just reverted the page to a version in early March, b/c the length of the railroad was obviously vandalized and the version I reverted it to is the latest one with the most probable correct figure. I realize that probably a decent amount of "good stuff" is lost, but if that vandalism slipped through, the other added materials' varacity is also suspect. People who are familiar with the topic are welcome to readd whatever materials to the page. Thanks. Ngchen 08:34, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move

Move to Japanese invasion of Manchuria, for disambiguation with Soviet invasion of Manchuria. Kinh Duong Vuong (talk) 22:18, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the article in its entirety should be merged with Mukden Incident. Blueshirts (talk) 22:55, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Worldwide reaction

It would be interesting to read of what the reaction in the rest of the world was to the invasion. I see someone above has asked for information on the League of Nations' stance. Any chance this sort of information could be added by someone in the know? Jasper33 (talk) 13:39, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
