Landing Savané

Landing Savané (born 1945) is a Senegalese politician. He is currently serving as minister without portfolio in the government and is the secretary-general of And-Jëf/African Party for Democracy and Socialism.[1] He unsuccessfully ran for president in 1988, taking 0.25% of the vote, and in 1993, taking 2.91% of the vote.[2] Savané is currently running again in the February 2007 presidential election, having been designated as his party's presidential candidate in November 2006. He is from Casamance, in the south of Senegal.[1]
