Reception

One US-based Bollywood site described the film as "'Aafat-E-Ishq' is a definitive hybrid genre at new-age storytelling making it difficult for us to fit it into a box. The beauty of such an inventive narrative is that it brings a new age story making to the forefront of Indian cinema.". Another Bollywood review concluded that "Aafat-E-Ishq will go down as one of the whackiest films of the year that will keep you invested till the end in a multi-genre format.". [13][14]
