Links to other navboxes in navboxes
Hi. I'm wondering if we put links to other navboxes within a navbox that appears on the mainspace. See the footer in the version. That footer template is from Template:LS members footer. If this is not the intended way of usage for the navboxes, then, I'd move the footer out of the navbox [1]; and in the end I'd convert into a navbox itself that is transcluded in the related navboxes noinclude. Please let me know your thoughts on this. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 18:40, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I believe that these links violate the guideline at MOS:LINKSTYLE, specifically the part that reads
In articles, do not link to pages outside the article namespace
. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:52, 7 June 2022 (UTC)- DaxServer, I think you should try to convert this footer into the navbox format as I've seen such footer templates in that format. And they are not an issue if they are linked into one of these navboxes included in this footer template. It does add extra transclusions, but it still fits the purpose of navigating. People might find related articles through the respective navboxes by going from one to the other. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 21:55, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
Sorry about the confusion!
I thought Ken Graham was considered CE due to his recent move to a new division, specifically the NWS. But thanks for clearing it up in the edit summary. Snowc776 (talk) 17:45, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Your U5
WikiCleanerMan, I can't help but be concerned by your U5 nomination of NinjaMedic – how is a use of {{user page}} misuse of Wikipedia as a webhost? Sdrqaz (talk) 00:57, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
- Must of thought of it as a misuse of the template. Didn't see the other user account linked on there. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 01:21, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
