Abd al-Rahman al-Maghrebi whose real name is Muhammad Abbatay, is a senior member of al-Qaeda, he held many positions for the organization such as al-Qaeda leader in Afghanistan and Pakistan in 2012, he ran Sahab media establishment, and then he took charge of al-Qaeda international activities in Iran, he is a son in law of Ayman al-Dhawahiri, in January 2021, the department of State offered a reward of up to $7 million for information on Muhammad Abbatay, better known as Abd al-Rahman al-Maghrebi.
