Orphaned fair use image (Image:Google logo1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Google logo1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Durin 21:03, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair use image use

Fair use images are not permitted to be used outside of the main article namespace. Please see the policy at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. This includes userboxes. Thus, the use of a copyrighted image on a userbox does not clear it of being orphaned. Further, the image may not be used on the userbox. I have reverted your re-insertion of these copyrighted images onto these non-main article namespace pages. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thank you, --Durin 23:48, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

AutoWikiBrowser

Thank you for your recent application to use AutoWikiBrowser. Regrettably, I have declined your request as you do not have 500 mainspace edits. You are welcome to apply again at a later time. Feel free to contact me with any questions, alphachimp 19:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)`

I suggest you change the external link to WikiProject Huston to a wikilink ;-) Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk) on 19:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

I've fixed it for you ;-) Anyway, just use this syntax [[LINK]] oppure [[LINK|display text]]. BTW, I've removed the two categories you've added: this is a talk page ;-). For further syntax help, see here and Here.
If you have any problems or simple questions, feel free to ask them on my talk page ;-)

Taj Mahal

Thanks for your comments on the Taj Mahal - making redirects doesn't usually need any consultation - just Be Bold and do it. On another note, are you sure you mean impotent where your user page says "[the flower] points out some of my impotent links." - did you mean important? --Joopercoopers 13:50, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Autograph book

Do you want to have the list in the same box or create an entirely separate one? Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 23:53, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh, why didn't you say so? ;) You use {{hidden began}} and {{hidden end}} around the list. Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 03:53, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Could I use some ideas from your user page? Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 00:10, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Userpage protection

Userpage protection (and protection to any kind of page here on wikipedia) can be made only by Administrators, and it's done only what it's strictly necessary, usually for vandalism.

{{|Click|link=User talk:Tbone55?action=edit&section=new|image=Crystal Clear app mail.png|width=30px|height=30px|title=Leave me a message}} might work. I don't know. Will (talk to me) 05:26, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Tryed it.... --'•Tbone55•(Talk) (Contribs) (UBX) (autographbook) 18:11, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Donen't work! :(
Thanks for the idea! --'•Tbone55•(Talk) (Contribs) (UBX) (autographbook) 18:12, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
There's a new feature called ImageMap that might be better than that template. --InkSplotch 04:43, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't get how to use it though. --'•Tbone55•(Talk) (Contribs) (UBX) (autographbook) 02:00, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm... your header looks oddly familiar *cough cough*. Now you are giving lessons on how to do it? I learned how to do that mostly by myself and with a little help from Darknesslord and Andonico. I find it funny that everyone has been using my header. I never said anything to anyone untill I saw that you were giving lessons on how to create it. So I thought I might just mention all that.

On perusing ur workings I noticed that ü spend considerable time on reversions and repairing acts of vandalism. Left-handed issues is an informed commentary with humour. I will iterate it appropriately in future. But humour just felt like the appropriate point of departure. Did you know that humour is scientifically proven as the best teaching and learning tool? Humour also aids memory and re-access of encoded information. I am going to provide references. I hope with sincere inSINcerity I gave u a kick-arse smile!

Adoption

It is perfectly alright to say no, but If you'd like, I can adopt you. You seem like you have a good handle on things, but perhaps as a more experienced Wikipedian I can offer you some assistance. Let me know what you think. Cheers, Dar-Ape 04:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Splendid! If you don't mind me asking, did you pick your username because you also play the trombone? Or do you simply like eating steaks? Dar-Ape 00:17, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
:) The pleasure is mine. Dar-Ape 20:10, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question. Which "box thing" are you referring to? Dar-Ape 20:22, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Archiving

Well, as far as I can tell, your messages are being archived to both the first and second boxes, being User talk:Tbone55/Archive/01 and User talk:Tbone55/Archive/all, respectively. Would you like Werdnabot to only archive to one instead? Dar-Ape 20:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Esperanza

If you mean coming to this page other than from Special:Whatlinkshere/User:Tbone55/Esperanza, you could find this page through all pages. Is this what you were looking for? Dar-Ape 20:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Sure! Please let me know, though, if you feel at any time that I haven't fully answered one of your questions-- I will not be offended. Best, Dar-Ape 20:39, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application

Dear Tbone55,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that at this time you do not meet the minimum requirement of 250 edits to mainspace articles (see under main here). Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Daniel.Bryant 02:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
