The Interest (ผ่อนรักนอกระบบ) is a Thai film starring Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree and Yaya Urassaya Sperbund. It is directed by The Gifted and Good Old Days series screenwriter/ director 'Waa Waasuthep Ketpetch' and produced by Parbdee Tawesuk. The film is an official remake of Han Dong-wook's 2014 South Korean film 'Man in Love'. In 2021, it's remade in Taiwan version with the same name. It is about a debt collector who falls in love with a woman struggling to take care of her ailing father.[1][2].
Plot
A low-level debt collector (Bright) goes around the neighborhood streets harassing shop owners and collecting debts for the loan shark. He encounters a simple woman (Yaya) struggling to take care of her ailing father and his hospital bills. She has a huge debt, so he strikes a deal with her to repay it, asking a favour to date him in return. He eventually falls in love with her, however discovers that he has a terminal illness.

Pre-Production
On 22nd November 2022, the production house GMMTV showcased "The Interest”, a film during their 'Diversely Yours' event at Union Hall Bangkok. The trailer which was shoot within a day at Pattaya, received positive response[3][4]. The shooting will start from mid of 2023[5].
Perviously, Sataporn Panichraksapong, managing director of GMMTV announced to invest 51% stake in Parbdee Taweesuk Co. Ltd. to extend its business model. The expectation is to build potential to create quality series and improve Thai market visibility around the world. Producers Kamthorn Lorjitramnuay, Puchong Tuntisungwaragul, and Patha Thongpa represent Parbdee in the signing.[6]
