Hippo Press is the publisher of the free weekly alternative newspaper The Hippo, based in Manchester, New Hampshire. Hippo, which is independently owned, started in 2001. In 2004 it launched a second edition in Nashua and in 2005 it started a third in Concord.

As of 2005, it claimed a total circulation of 32,500.[1]

In 2006, Hippo Press launched a five-days-a-week free daily newspaper in Manchester, called the Manchester Daily Express. It also launched The Oxx, a semi-weekly circular which is geared towards males.
