Siege of Kuwait 1808

The siege of Kuwait 1808 is a siege that took place in the year 1223 AH/1808 AD when the Wahhabis led by the Amir of Diriyah Saud bin Abdulaziz, wanted to raid Iraq, Prince Saud asked the Sheikh of Kuwait to pay them a to help in his campaign. Sheikh Abdullah only refused to do so, so Saud walked him with an army of 4,000 fighters with the intention of forcing him to pay in July 1223 AH 1808 AD. He was initially in Al-Jahrah to be a kind of intimidation, then he travelled from Jahra to "Shamiya", which is a water resource for the Kuwaitis and their only fire at that time, and hit the siege on Kuwait to force them to hand over, and when the long time, the prince lifted the siege from the city and left. Suleiman Pasha, the Wali of Baghdad, sent gifts to the Sheikh of Kuwait in return of his firm position on the Wahhabis.
