I don't think this adheres to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography. My understanding is that bio should refer to nationality, not ethnicity. "American screenwriter and director of Iranian descent", might be better? 97.113.217.23 (talk) 20:27, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

At WP:ETHNICITY it states "Ethnicity, religion, or sexuality should generally not be in the lead unless relevant to the subject's notability." I assume this has been included because it is relevant to Nowrasteh's notability, but as I have never heard of them I will defer judgement to another editor.
