Real estate values?
Forgive me for not knowing the convention, does "office space pricing at Burj Khalifa reached US$4,000 per sq ft (over US$43,000 per m²" refer to condominium sale prices, or yearly rent, or something else? If it is condominium sales, are there also annual assessments? Could someone add a clarification to the article's text? Thanks!

Information has been deleted or altered in the Deadly Incidents section of this page by I believe by the Emir of Wikipedia. https://lauravanessanunes.com/2023/11/15/who-is-the-emir-of-wikipedia/ My daughter's name has been deleted, reference to the Coroner's Report issued by the government of Dubai which states my daughter's body was found on the third floor of the Burj Khalifa, has been deleted. Entry altered: Emails obtained under the Freedom of Information Act from Portugal's embassy in the UAE also confirmed that Laura Nunes had committed suicide from the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa. It now reads: Ref 128: Emails obtained by Nine News from Portugal’s embassy in the UAE indicated she jumped from 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa. Note: 'indicated' not confirmed. - Please don't cite your personal blog here - we aren't going to take anything contained in it into account, since we base content on sources meeting WP:RS guidelines only. As for the death concerned, the article already cites the Australian Nine News website regarding the emails you mention. If you wish to propose further content, you will have to be more specific. AndyTheGrump (talk) 15:58, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- @LeonaLeeSykes: I've added the name and the information on the freedom of information laws, which are already provided in existing sources. Please provide a link to the coroner's report so that we can evaluate whether it is a reliable source or not. Liu1126 (talk) 16:11, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- We tend to avoid citing coroner's reports and similar court documents, as primary sources which can sometimes be difficult for non-specialists to understand. I suspect the name may have been omitted previously out of privacy concerns. AndyTheGrump (talk) 16:20, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Good point on the coroner's report, I didn't think about that. I believe including the name is fine by the current version of WP:BLPNAME, since all three sources on the event mention it, but maybe consensus was different in the past. Liu1126 (talk) 16:33, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

- Given LeonaLeeSykes later edits (in various places), it seems clear that we need to discuss this in terms of what exactly we say about this unfortunate event: it isn't a simple matter of substituting a few words. It would help greatly if we first collated what sources are available here. Once we've done that, we will be in a better position to decide how to proceed. It should probably be noted that the Daily Express is considered a questionable source by Wikipedia, and personally I'm less than impressed by the other sources currently being cited in the article. I'll see if I can find anything better, and ask that others do the same. AndyTheGrump (talk) 16:43, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- The Daily Express has pictures of most of the first page of the Coroner's report which is why I selected it as a source. If you need anything from me please let me know. As mentioned before I have the Coroner's Report, but I also have the emails from Luis Camara Deputy Head of Mission and Consul from the Embassy of Portugal obtained by 9news in terms of The Freedom of Information Act. I appreciate all the assistance I'm receiving and I apologise if I'm not very knowledgeable navigating Wikipedia. As the location of my daughter's death remains controversial due to the government of Dubai's denial all I want to do is provide a referral to very relevant evidence as to the location of her death. Thank you. LeonaLeeSykes (talk) 02:42, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Per Wikipedia policy, we cannot cite emails, a coroners' report (if that is what it is - it says it is a "medical forensic report"), or other documents you have in your personal possession: we only cite published material. Frankly though I can't see what the issue is anyway, since the article currently states that the Dubai police's claim regarding the location of the incident was disproven. AndyTheGrump (talk) 20:12, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you AndyTheGrump. I did not realise that only published material could be cited on Wikipedia. The forensic report was sent to me as a Coroner's Report, and it is solid proof that Laura fell from the Burj Khalifa, but be that as it may, it has no relevance as it cannot be cited. My issue with the the article was that I felt it didn't fully disprove the Dubai police's claim regarding the location of her death, but I am now satisfied and happy with your opinion of the matter. Thank you so much for your assistance. LeonaLeeSykes (talk) 04:23, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

- The building is connected to the sewer system. There was obviously a point during construction when it wasn't though. Nobody is going to design a building that big and not do that. GliderMaven (talk) 15:58, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- If it isn't, that is a noteworthy point.
- Just to appeal to common sense does not work as a counter argument, given how nonsensical the urban planning of Dubai is.
- In short, I would not put it past them to do such a thing. 2003:E4:5F3B:9700:7C51:BDD1:EA06:8093 (talk) 13:59, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
Massive duplication of information; better organization
The "Conception" section, "Development" section, the "Architecture and Design" section, and the "Construction" section have massive overlaps. There really should be only two sections: "Architecture and Design", and "Construction".
Also, a more logical flow for the article would be:
- Conception
- Architecture and Design
- Construction (including what is now Controversies)
- Opening and real estate values
- Features
- Events (Ramadan observance, New Year's Eve, BASE jumping, Climbing)
- Records
- Awards
- Floor plan
