Gypsievan was an entertainment website founded by Vinayak Singh Oberoi and launched on January 9, 2020.[7] The platform featured a wide variety of content including music from popular artists such as Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift, as well as jokes, memes, photos, and videos.[8] It also had an educational corner where Vinayak himself would write and upload educational content. Additionally, Gypsievan served as a social media website, allowing users to interact and share content.[9]

In December 2020, the website was hacked by a group of individuals from Bangladesh. After extensive efforts to recover the site, it was relaunched in late 2021 with a new domain, changing from gypsievan.com to gypsievan.in[10] Unfortunately, the website faced another hacking incident by the same group in March 2023, who also started impersonating Vinayak on social media platforms. Before it was hacked, Gypsievan generated a revenue of INR 2 Lakhs. After taking severe measures to counter these attacks, Vinayak ultimately decided to shut down the website permanently on May 11, 2024.[11]
