Your spelling alterations

Hello. Please do not Americanise spellings in UK-related articles (or articles related to countries where UK spellings are used). Your recent such revisions have been reverted. Thanks. garik 13:37, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilinking years

Hi. I am trully sorry that I destroyed your day's work, but your sole activity on April 26 was wikilinking bare years in numerous unrelated articles. However, it is widely accepted that bare years should not be wikilinked just for linking's sake, i.e. only links relevant to the context should be preserved. Please refer to WP:DATE#Partial dates. Note that I've done this with consent of several posters at WP:ANI#Systematic wikilinking of years.

I apologize if I happened to make a collateral damage as well, like rolling back spelling fixes. I partially reverted myself on Zürich trams, and I hope I didn't miss any other. I'm sorry for inconvenience, and keep up on good work. Duja 14:12, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you are probably a Dutch editor. In that case, please note that, as Duja noted, the policy regarding wikilinking years is different here. We don't make wikilinks for year, as nl.wiki does. Thanks for the work, in any case. --Rabbeinu 14:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Judging by your contributions (which I only checked now) you might be from any country in the world. Anyway, same thing I just wrote still applies. --Rabbeinu 14:42, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

. Please stop reverting and continuing to wikilink years and changing British to American spelling. As I kindly tried to explain to you, such kind of edits are uncalled for and amount to disruption. If you continue with this campaign and don't explain why are you doing that, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks. Duja 07:51, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for systematic wikilinking of years against guidelines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

. Please stop reverting and continuing to revert the article Zzzax. Such kind of edits are uncalled for and amount to disruption. If you continue with this campaign and don't explain why are you doing that, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks. DCincarnate

DCincarnate has removed vandalism warnings from his talk page and he keeps vandalizing Zzzax. Some one please help! User_talk:DCincarnate

YOU are the one who is vandalizing the Zzzaz article by reverting edits, and without giving any reasons why. I have given my reasons, but you haven't. DCincarnate

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Thank you.Whiskey in the Jar 15:52, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
