Thanks! Being a total newbie at this it'll take a bit of learning. But to answer the question - no, I'm not Filipino (Mostly Irish, some scottish) but living in Southern California I have access to dozens of ethnic supermarkets and I love to explore them for new taste treats.

Hello. I hoppe you don't mind, but I've just come here to complain about recipes... This is supposed to be an encyclopaedia, rather than a recipe book. There's this policy here - Wikipedia:Neutral point of view - that says we are not supposed to push any one point of view as better than others. Dishes can be made in all sorts of different ways, and an individual recipe is just one person's point of view on how that dish should be made. I expect a lot of people think I'm making a fuss about nothing applying NPOV in the case of recipes, but I don't see why we should make exceptions... I think it's nice to know abot food topics, but I think they should be written about as encyclopaedia articles, not recipes. That is, describe the dish, and who eats it, and even how people make it, but as a general description rather than as a set of instructions. I quite like the article on banana sauce, by the way. But is it really frequently served on corned beef? That sounds a little odd to me... -- Oliver P. 05:51, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)
