"Who's Got Game"

"Who's Got Game?" is the 45th episode of the Nickelodeon television series Drake & Josh. It first aired in the US on November 5, 2006.

Plot summary

Template:Spoiler After Josh sees a girl at the Premiere, he and Drake argue over asking her out. When they get home, Josh tries to convince Drake that he can get girls just like he (Drake) can. So Josh makes a bet with Drake to see who can date the most girls in one week. Drake is certain he will win until he dates Carley, who works at a record store and plays guitar. He doesn't want to date other girls and mess things up with her, so he tries to call off the bet, but Josh won't agree to it. Carley hears Drake talking about the bet with Josh and she dumps him.

Drake goes to the store where Carley works and tries to apologize, but Carley won't accept his apology, thinking he pretended to like her and it wasn't real. He tries to convince her that he does like her and that he is honest by saying bad things to people at the store. Carley thinks all he is doing with that is being rude to people, and ditches him for good.

Drake gets Craig and Eric to help him get her back. He goes to the store where Carley works and pretends to find Craig's wallet and return it to him, even though Eric tells him to keep the wallet. The staged event only worsens Drake's situation with Carley, because she sees through the act and doesn't believe he's truly a good person.

He tries to win her back again by bringing her to The Premiere, where he has gathered a group of people from his past, including old teachers and ex-girlfriends. After confessing the mean things he has done to some of these people, Carley realizes that he can be honest and is a nice person deep down. She forgives him and they decide to keep dating.

Meanwhile, Josh realizes he doesn't know how to get dates, so he asks their mom for help. They go to The Premiere, and she tells him to go up to a girl, compliment her, and then just walk away. This works, and the girl stops him and gives him her phone number.

Drake only dated one girl, Carley, and Josh dated several, so Josh wins the bet. They agreed to switch beds if Josh won, as Drake has a cooler bed. However, that night, Josh falls off of Drake's elevated bed, and they switch back.

Trivia/Goofs

  • As part of this episode takes place in a record store, many posters for real bands are seen, such as Korn, Gorillaz, Three Days Grace, and Jack's Mannequin.
  • Megan and Audrey both only make one appearance in this episode.
  • Walter does not appear for the whole episode.
  • Craig's last name is revealed to be Ramirez.
  • In this episode, we see that Josh has a perfect attendance award. However, Josh skips school with Drake to spy on their dad in "The Affair". Josh even mentioned that he did not want to ruin his perfect attendance in that episode. There is a possibility, however, that Josh was let off because he revealed to the faculty that Drake tempted him into skipping school.
  • This was the ninth episode to air in the UK.
  • After this episode, Carly is never mentioned or heard from until The Storm, in which Carly is at the party talking and giggling with Drake's ex- girlfriends.
  • Things Drake confesses in front of Carly:
    • He confesses to Mr. Curtis, his fifth grade science teacher, that he put a bag of gerbils in his car.
    • He tells Tammi, one of his ex-girlfriends, that he didn't break up with her because he was moving to Switzerland, and admits he doesn't even know where Switzerland is. Mrs. Fudge then says "SOUTH OF GERMANY, EAST OF FRANCE!"
    • He admits he put gum in Gavin's perm.
    • He tells Craig that he was the one who told the school that Craig showers in his bathing suit, not Eric.
    • He says to Mrs. Fudge that it was his fault that he ran into her mailbox with Walter's car, and not Josh's. This was also mentioned in the opening scene in "Megan's Revenge".
    • He admits to Josh that he uses his toothbrush almost every morning.
  • In a way, Drake breaks the fourth wall in this episode: when Drake says, "I bet Josh is going on a montage of dates," it then shows a montage of Josh going on dates.
  • This is the second and last time Drake And Josh have made a bet. The first was in The Bet.
  • In the opening scene, Drake challenges Josh to see if he (Drake) can paint a picture of Abraham Lincoln wearing a bikini faster than Josh can stack 150 cans of tuna into a pyramid. Just when Josh is about to win, Drake gets on the table in his room, says "Oops" and hops off it, causing Josh's pyramid to fall. He then finishes his picture.
  • 150 is not a pyradical number, so you can't stack 150 cans of tuna into a pyramid.
  • Near the end of the episode, Josh is seen standing inside the Premier counter, even though he is not wearing his red vest.
  • At the end of the episode Josh won Bet but then asked Drake to switch beds cause he fell out of Drakes bed forgetting it was high up.
